Base Class: Monk
For these Monks, they train in not in manipulating their own Ki, but the Ki of the life in the outer planes. They study and travel through the other planes, meditating and learning from life in places other then the material.
Their studies usually start on monasteries in the material plane, but as their training continues it leads them to travel to the other planes. Each monk chooses their own path when it comes to the planes that they choose to specialize in. Whether it’s the heavenly upper planes, or the depths of the shadow fell. These monks are the top scholars of their chosen planes.
Senses of the beyond
At third level, your training and studying of the other planes have made you efficient in sensing and protecting your self from beings from the Outer Realms. As an action, you can spend a Ki point to cast Detect Evil and Good, or 2 Ki points to cast Protection from Evil and Good. Neither of these require Material components.
Planar Mastery
At Sixth level, Your times and training has lead you to become an expert in a particular plane of your choice. Pick from the options below;
The Abyss
You’ve spend time traveling and training through the abyss, learning about the foul demons within. You can speak and write Abyssal. When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 Ki points and prevent that creature from reneging any hit points, or drop it’s speed by 10 feet till the end of your next turn. This ability doesn’t stack.
The Celestial Planes
You’ve spent some of your days in the upper planes, training amongst the celestials. You can speak and read celestial. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Ki points to cast Divine favor. In addition, as an action you can spend 3 Ki points and remove on effect that’s Poisoned, Blinded, Paralyzed, Deafened, a creature.
The Feywild
Spending time in the Fey woods have taught you the alluring and terrifying ways of the fey. You can speak and read Sylvan. As an action, you can spend 2 Ki points and choose a creature within 50ft of you. That creature is forced to make a Wisdom save against your spell DC. On a fail, that creature is Charmed or Frightened by you for a minute. The creature advantage against the charm if it's currently hostile against you, and may repeat its save at the end of its turn.
The Nine Hells
You have spent a number of years in the different layers of the nine hells, leaving a permeant mark on your Ki. You can speak and read infernal. As an action, you can spend 2 Ki points to cast Flame Blade, or 2 Ki points to cast Hellish Rebuke as a reaction. Both spells are at second level.
The Shadowfell
Your time spent in the shadow fell and training has hardened your soul against necromancy and taught you some of the ways of the Raven Queen. You gain resistance to necrotic damage you can also use a bonus action and spend 2 Ki points to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space in front of you.
Dimensional secrets
At level elven, your studies of planar travel had led you to new discovers about them. As an action, you can use 3 Ki point to cast the Dimension Door without using material components. In addition, if you see a creature within 30 feet attempt to teleport away, you can use 4 ki point as a reaction and force the target to make a wisdom save. On a failure, the attempt to teleport away is wasted.
Traveler of the Planes
At level seventeen, your knowledge and travels throughout the Outer planes have given you the ability to efficiently travel to them, and send other creatures back to the planes they originated from. You can spend 3 Ki points to cast Dispel Evil and Good as an action.
Once per long rest, you may draw a teleportation circle with your Ki, as if you were casting Plane Shift.
