Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Cooking know that there is more power in food than meets the eye, it is the fuel for life itself. While other bards can sing creations into being, adherents to the College of Cooking withhold control over the very life force of those creations. While an excellent meal can energize and revitalize, the lack of a meal can gnaw at the stomach and make weak the formerly strong. These bards dedicate their lives to mastery of the culinary arts and honing the control that it gives them over others.

Fires of Creation

When you join the College of Cooking at 3rd level, your connection with the song of creation allows the fires of your kitchen to be with you wherever you go. You learn the create bonfire cantrip, which doesn’t count against the number of bard cantrips you know.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink

At 3rd level, you employ a variety of tools that aid you in the creation of your masterful meals. You gain proficiency with cook’s utensils and can use them as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells.

Famished or Filled

At 3rd level, you gain power over the stomachs of others through the scent of your intoxicating meals.

When you damage a creature, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration die to make them feel a pang of hunger, dealing an extra 1d6 acid damage. Alternatively, when you heal a creature you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration die to make them feel warm and full, providing an extra 1d6 of healing. You can only do so once per round on your turn.

The acid damage and healing increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2d6 at level 5, 3d6 at level 10th level, and 5d6 at 15th level.

Compelling Dish

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to make some of your dishes so delicious that they can sway the minds of others, making them more prone to listen to your suggestions.

Once per short rest you can choose a creature that has eaten something that you have cooked and gain advantage on Persuasion (Charisma) checks against that creature for the next minute.

Master Chef

Starting at 14th level, you have mastered not only the art of cooking, but your control over the stomachs of others as well. When you use your Famished or Filled feature you apply additional effects to the targeted creature.

A creature whom you make feel hungry must fight off the sickly feeling in the pit of their stomach, causing them to be poisoned for one minute. At the end of each of their turns, the creature can make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC, ending the effect on itself on a successful one. Alternatively, a creature whom you make feel full is invigorated by this feeling and gains advantage on its next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.
