Base Class: Barbarian

Stormborn barbarians carry the fury of tempests in their blood. Unlike sorcerers who channel their arcane heritage into spells, Stormborn barbarians manifest their power through raw physical might, enhanced by the primal forces of lightning and thunder. Their rage is a storm made flesh, crackling with energy and shaking the battlefield with its ferocity.

Level 3: Maelstrom Fury

• Surging Storm: Your movement speed increases by 10ft.

• Storm Resilience: You are gain resistance to lightning and thunder dmg.

• Thunderous Roar: When you first activate your rage you belt out a thunderous roar, opponents within a 5ft radius must make a DC con save or be stunned till their next turn. The DC is 8+con+prof.

 

• Thunder Strike: Your can add your con mod to melee dmg rolls as thunder dmg.

Level 6: Arc Step

• Arc Dash: You can now use the dash action as a bonus action.

• Reactive Charge: If you end your turn within 10ft of an opponent as a reaction you can close the gap.

• Lightning Stride: As a bonus action during this turn, You can coat your feet in lightning. This increases your movement speed by 20ft and those you pass by within 5ft must make a dex save or take 2d6 lightning dmg. When you end your movement anyone within 5ft of you takes an additional 2d4 thunder dmg. The DC save is 8+con+prof. 

Level 14: Typhoon Soul

Storm Aura: While raging, you emanate a 10-foot-radius aura of crackling storm energy. At the start of each of your turns, you can choose an amount of creatures equal to your Proficiency mod within this aura to take lightning or thunder damage (your choice) equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). This damage ignores resistance to lightning or thunder damage.

• Tempest Unleashed: As an action while raging, you unleash the full might of the typhoon, becoming a living storm that surges across the battlefield. You transform into a whirlwind of lightning and thunder, gaining the following effects for 1 minute or until your rage ends:

~ Storm Surge: Your movement speed increases by an additional 20 feet, and your movement ignores difficult terrain. Opportunity attacks made against you have disadvantage as arcs of lightning lash out at attackers.

~ Tempest Pursuit: When you move within 5 feet of a creature during your turn, you can force that creature to make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your Constitution modifier + your Proficiency bonus). On a failure, the creature is pushed up to 10 feet away from you and knocked prone as a gust of storm-wind slams into them. If the creature fails the saving throw, you can immediately use your reaction to activate special Reactive Charge, you close the gap into the space before the opponent and attack once. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

• Storm’s Endurance: You gain immunity to lightning and thunder damage while raging.
