Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Collective belief is a force capable of extraordinary things, whether good or bad, and self-confidence can help someone achieve great things. Collective faith can even create deities. The trust (or even faith) that the people around you have in you, the support they give you, your determination, and your self-confidence are so intense that they empower you.
You may be the charismatic leader of a community or organization, a famous knight, someone seeking to rise in the hierarchy and needing supporters, a local hero, or some other type of celebrity who is the target of mass opinion. Whatever the case, think about how you view these powers and what you plan to achieve. Did you gain these powers because people like you for who you really are, or are you deceiving them to manipulate their opinions, gaining more power and influence? Are you acting on your own, or is someone acting behind the scenes to foster your popularity? Do you view these powers as a gift, or are the expectations of others too heavy a burden? Whatever the circumstances, a group of people see you as an admirable figure.
This oath has no specific dogmas or vows; paladins who follow this path seek to maintain the image their supporters value by taking the necessary actions. With some effort, it is possible to change this image while maintaining their support and, consequently, maintaining their powers. Conversely, if a paladin betrays the trust of their supporters and is discovered, leading to their abandonment, it will be as when paladins of other oaths break their vows.

Level 3: Support Boost

The encouragement and help of others gives you the strength to act. When one of your allies targets you with a beneficial spell, beneficial feature, or the Help action, you can, as a reaction, spend 1 use of your Channel Divinity to perform one of the following:

  • You make a weapon attack against a creature within your reach. You can cast the Divine Smite spell as part of this same reaction, and if you cast it at 1st level, you do not need to expend the spell slot.
  • You move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. As part of the same reaction, you can cast the Heroism spell on yourself, and if you cast it at 1st level, you do not need to expend the spell slot.
  • You use Lay On Hands on yourself. In addition to the amount you spent from the well, you regain a number of bonus hit points equal to your Charisma modifier for this use.

Level 7: Aura of Trust

You and your supporters inspire each other. Once per turn, when you take the Attack action, you can grant a bonus to one of your attack or damage rolls for that action equal to your Charisma modifier. You can decide to add the bonus after rolling the die, but before the result is applied. Alternatively, you can grant this same bonus to the AC of one of your allies within your Aura of Protection until the start of your next turn (the ally retains the bonus even if they leave the aura's area during that time).

Level 15: Resilience From Belief

People's faith in you prevents you from meeting your end easily. When you are reduced to 0 hit points and are not killed immediately, you can drop to 1 hit point instead and instantly perform one of the following options of your choice (no action required).

  • You make a melee attack against a target within your reach. This attack is made with advantage.
  • You teleport to an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you that is as close as possible to an ally.

Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Level 20: Undeniable Icon

As a bonus action, you can use people's faith in you to enter a state of near-divine splendor, granting you the benefits below for 1 minute or until you end them (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also restore its use by expending a 5th-level spell slot (no action required).

Reliable Attacks. You have advantage on all weapon attack rolls.

Center of Attention. Attack rolls made against your allies within your Aura of Protection are made with disadvantage.

Draining Radiance. Whenever an enemy starts their turn within your Aura of Protection, they take 2d10 + your Charisma modifier radiant damage, and you regain a number of points from your Lay On Hands healing pool equal to the damage taken by the enemy.
