Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

To walk the Path of the Bloodletter is to embrace pain as power and blood as blessing. These brutal warriors thrive on the brink of death, their rage growing more vicious as their wounds deepen. Where others falter under the weight of injury, Bloodletters roar with renewed fury, their strikes becoming deadlier the closer they are to the grave.

Barbarians who follow this path have learned to harness their own life force, channeling it into savage assaults or siphoning it back through sheer force of will. In battle, they are a terrifying sight—bleeding, grinning, and cutting through foes with reckless abandon.

Pendulum

Starting when you take this path at 3rd level, you gain access to pendulum dice that scale with your Barbarian level. When your hit points drop below 75% (rounded down), you add 1 pendulum die to your Strength damage rolls. The lost hit points must count against your current hit point max. You add additional pendulum die when your hit points drop below 50% and another when your hit points drop below 25% for a maximum of 3. Every time you recover above one of these thresholds, remove 1 pendulum die from your damage rolls. Your pendulum die is a D4 at 3rd level, a D6 at 6th level, a D8 at 10th level, and a D10 at 14th level. Pendulum damage matches the weapons damage type.

Terminal Lucidity

Beginning at 6th level, when your rage ends you may choose to immediately spend up to {{modifier:con@min:1}} hit dice, healing for the rolled amount. You may not use this ability if your rage ended due to being incapacitated or falling to zero hit points. This feature can be used once per short rest.

Auto Axesanguination

Beginning at 10th level, you can sap your own life force to boost your attacks. When you hit with a melee attack while raging, you may choose to sacrifice an amount of hit points up to {{12+modifier:con}} , adding the selected amount to the damage roll. If the lost health would cross a pendulum threshold, a pendulum die is not added until your next attack. Use this ability only once per RAGE.

Life Hack

Beginning at 14th level, you learn to rip the life from your enemies to sustain yourself. While raging, when you deal damage with a melee attack, you may choose to end your rage. If you do, you can regain an amount of health equal to the hits damage dealt. You can use this ability only once per long rest.
