Base Class: Wizard

Most wizards are known as masters of the arcane, but frail and too weak to fight with a sword. You're here to prove all of them wrong, but not in the way you'd think. You've spent years learning and mastering the properties of sword and the like and how magic effects them, and now you can bend them to your will. You are a perfect mix between the arcane and the physical.

Tools Of The Battlemage

2nd-level Battlemage feature

You gain proficiency with light armor, medium armor, heavy armor, shields, firearms, simple weapons, martial weapons, tinker's tools, leatherworker's tools, smith's tools, and woodcarver's tools.

Arcane Warrior

2nd-level Battlemage feature

You increase your hit points by 4. Additionally you gain 4 additional hit points whenever you gain a level in the Wizard class.

You become proficient in constitution, dexterity, and strength saving throws.

Your strength and constitution scores increases by your intelligence modifier.

You can use your intelligence modifier for weapon attacks.

You can use any weapon you're wielding as an arcane focus.

You can cast any cantrip as a bonus action that has the casting time of an action.

You gain the War Caster feat or another feat if you already have the War Caster feat.

In addition, you gain the following spells at the listed wizard level. These spells do not count against the number of prepared wizard spells you know.

Battlemage Bonus Spells

Extra Attack

6th-level Battlemage feature

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your spells in place of one of those attacks.

Arcane Assault

10th-level Battlemage feature

You can attack three times, instead of twice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Your AC increases by 2.

You no longer need to use ammunition when using ranged weapons, when you use this feature you replace the ammunition with magical ammunition and the damage type of the weapon becomes force damage if the weapon isn't already magical.

If you attack with a thrown weapon then the weapon always returns to you unless you choose for it not to.

Arcane Warlord

14th-level Battlemage feature

You are able to cast up to two spells per turn.

You have advantage on all constitution, dexterity, intelligence, strength, and wisdom saving throws.

If another creature misses on an attack roll with a ranged attack against you while the shield is active on you then you can reflect the attack back at the attacker using that creature's attack roll, if it is successful then the attacker instead receives the damage from the attack.

If you succeed on saving throw against a spell or magical effect then you are unaffected by all effects and damage of that spell or magical effect.
