Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Some sorcerers are born from storms, shadows, or dragons—but your spark comes from something far more volatile: the fire of a dying star. A Flame Halo Soul is both blessed and cursed. Their very existence is marked by the radiance of celestial fire, a halo of light that clings to their soul and burns them from within. They shine with terrible brilliance, yet their flame is always fleeting, for the power that sustains them consumes their mortal vessel like dry tinder.

Legends tell of a comet that blazed too near the mortal world, scattering fragments of divine fire into the hearts of those yet unborn. Some scholars claim Flame Halo Souls are the children of this omen. Others whisper they are mortals touched by gods who did not wish their creations to endure. Whatever the truth, a Flame Halo Soul burns with power greater than most, but every flicker of magic comes at a cost. They pay in pain and blood, shortening their span each time they unleash the halo’s light.

A Flame Halo Soul sorcerer’s presence is unmistakable. Their eyes may glimmer with molten fire, or their shadow may burn like embers along the ground. In moments of passion or wrath, a luminous crown—like the solar corona—can flare above their head, visible to all. The price of this radiance is steep: each spell cast chips away at the sorcerer’s lifeforce. To wield their magic is to feed the flame with their own body, hastening the day when the fire consumes them entirely.

The paradox of a Flame Halo Soul is their dual role as both savior and martyr. Their power can sear through the strongest resistances and heal wounds with blazing vigor, but it is never for themselves—they cannot turn their sacrifice inward. They burn to make others whole, blaze to drive back the dark, and with each brilliant surge, the candle of their life grows shorter. Those who travel with a Flame Halo Soul often speak of awe and sorrow in the same breath: to watch them fight is to behold the beauty of a falling star, streaking across the heavens only to vanish into the void.

Flame Halo Souls rarely live quietly. Their curse draws attention—sometimes worship, sometimes fear. In temples, they may be hailed as living avatars of solar gods or angels, doomed to burn for the sake of the faithful. In darker lands, they may be hunted as unstable harbingers of ruin, their uncontrolled brilliance seen as a threat. Whatever fate awaits them, one truth is constant: Flame Halo Souls are never forgotten. Their light, though brief, leaves scars upon the world as deep as their sacrifices carve upon themselves.
