Base Class: Cleric
Clerics of the Forgemother bear the last embers of a goddess who forged wonders beyond mortal comprehension and bound an evil god within chains of her own making. They are artisans of faith, blessing steel with divine fire, mending what is broken, and striking with the wrath of the forge. As her power fades, these clerics carry her flame into battle, seeking her lost relics and holding fast against the darkness that rises.
Level 3: Blessed smith
When you choose this domain at 1st level, the Forgemother’s essence allows you to channel divine power into weapons and armor:
- Forge Strike: When you hit with a weapon attack, you can deal 1d8 fire or radiant damage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (min 1) per long rest.
- Master Crafter: You gain proficiency with smith’s tools. If you already have proficiency, add double your proficiency bonus to checks with them.
- Ward of the Forgemother: As a reaction, when an ally within 10 ft of you takes damage, you can grant them resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn.
Level 3: Chanel Divinity - Forge's Might
You can use your Channel Divinity to imbue a weapon or armor with divine essence:
- Weapon: Adds +2 to attack and damage rolls for 1 minute (scales to +3 at level 14).
- Armor: Grants an ally +2 AC for 1 minute (scales to +3 at level 14).
Level 3: Forgecraft's Insight
Once per long rest, you can fully repair a broken magical item, or create a temporary +1 weapon or tool that lasts 1 hour.
Gain resistance to fire damage.
Level 6: Divine Strike
Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can deal 1d8 fire or radiant damage. Increases to 2d8 at level 14.
Beginning at 6th level, the healing spells you cast on others heal you as well. When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that restores hit points to a creature other than you, you regain hit points equal to 2 + the spell’s level.
Level 17: Essence of the Forgemother
Once per long rest, when you or an ally within 30 ft would drop to 0 HP, you can instead drop to 1 HP and gain temporary HP equal to twice your cleric level.
