Base Class: Warlock
Some warlocks form pacts with patrons of hunger, predation, and fear — beings that thrive not on worship, but on the terror and flesh of mortals. These patrons may be primeval horrors born from the void, ancient fey predators who hunt gods and men alike, or spirits of famine and devouring darkness.
A warlock who serves such an entity becomes more than a spellcaster: they become the hunter, chosen to stalk, terrify, and consume those who cross their path. The bond manifests in twisted powers that sharpen the senses, instill dread in prey, and allow the warlock to feed upon the vitality of others.
Whether you revel in the hunt or resist the monstrous appetites your patron inspires, the path of this pact will mark you as something other than mortal — a predator walking among prey.
Level 3: Wendigo Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Wendigo Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Inflict Wounds, Fog Cloud, Spike Growth, Pass without Trace, Misty Step |
| 5 | Bestow Curse, Nondetection |
| 7 | Blight, Phantasmal Killer |
| 9 | Contagion, Cloudkill |
Level 3: Dark Presence
Starting at 3rd level, when you damage a creature for the first time in combat, you may deal an additional 2d10 + your Charisma modifier necrotic damage to the total damage. They must then make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be frightened until the end of its next turn.
Once you reach the levels 10 and 14, you can add an additional 1d10 to the damage roll.
Level 6: Haunting Presence
Starting at 6th level, you can call on your patron to enhance your natural prowess in stalking and frightening prey. When you make a stealth check from an unsuspecting victim, you roll with advantage. Additionally, when you deal damage for the first time using the Dark Presence feature, you receive the damage dealt as temporary hit points that last for an hour.
Level 10: Aegis of Hunger
You are resistant to necrotic damage.
In addition, you become resistant to one of the following damage types: cold, poison, or thunder. You can only have one per long rest. Damage from magical weapons or silver weapons
Level 14: Predator's Ascendance
As a bonus action, you can assume a terrifying, otherworldly visage of your patron’s hunger for 1 minute. While in this form:
-
You gain resistance to all damage except force, psychic, and radiant.
-
Once on each of your turns when you deal damage with an attack or a warlock spell, you can deal an extra 2d10 necrotic damage.
-
When a creature starts its turn within 10 feet of you, it must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become frightened until the start of its next turn.
-
Devouring Maw. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points during this transformation, you may devour its essence. You regain hit points equal to your warlock level + your Charisma modifier, and until the start of your next turn, your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
