Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is a radiant entity of empirical wonder—an embodiment of curiosity, logic, and magical science. Whether a sentient observatory, a cosmic researcher, or a whimsical force of discovery, the Inquisitive Illuminator empowers warlocks to explore, analyze, and manipulate the universe through rigorous observation and experimentation. You are not a mere spellcaster—you are a field scientist of the arcane.
“Magic is a system. Reality is a formula. Let’s test some hypotheses.”
The Inquisitive Illuminator is a patron of cosmic curiosity and magical science. Warlocks who forge a pact with this entity become arcane researchers—analyzing spells like experiments, manipulating physical laws, and uncovering the hidden truths of the multiverse. Whether wielding gravity fields or peering through illusions, these warlocks treat every encounter as a chance to learn, adapt, and innovate.
Pact of the Tome – Codex of Constants:(added just for flavor)
Your Book of Shadows resembles a scientific journal filled with diagrams and formulas. You treat rituals like field experiments and record magical anomalies like lab notes.
Pact of the Blade – Quantum Edge:
Your pact weapon is a shifting construct of condensed probability. It hums with kinetic energy and strikes like a force vector—precise, calculated, and powerful.
Pact of the Chain – Familiar Construct:
Your familiar is a mechanical assistant—an arcane drone, sensor orb, or lab-grown homunculus. It records data, projects holograms, and beeps in binary when excited.
Pact of the Talisman – Empirical Emblem:
Your talisman is a rotating crystal matrix or glowing gyroscope. It offers real-time feedback and predictive guidance, adjusting its readings based on magical stimuli.
Level 1: Scientific Method
You gain proficiency in the Arcana and Investigation skills. If you are already proficient in either, you gain expertise instead.
You can cast identify once per long rest without expending a spell slot or material components.
Additionally, when you observe a creature or object for 1 round (no action required), you gain advantage on your next attack roll, saving throw, or ability check involving it. You can use this observation ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Level 1: Expanded Spell List
| Spell Level | Spells |

| 1st | Detect Magic, Shield |
| 2nd | Mirror Image, Hold Person |
| 3rd | Fly, Dispel Magic |

| 5th | Wall of Force, Telekinesis |
Level 6: Experimental Manipulation
You gain the ability to manipulate physical forces and analyze magical substances.
As a bonus action, you can create a localized kinetic field in a 10-foot radius centered on yourself. Until the start of your next turn:
- You can push or pull creatures within the area up to 10 feet (no save).
- Ranged weapon attacks made within the area have disadvantage.
- You ignore difficult terrain.
You can use this kinetic field once per short rest.
Additionally, you can analyze a substance (such as a poison, potion, or magical residue) as an action. For 1 hour, you gain advantage on saving throws against effects of that type. You can use this analysis once per long rest.
Level 10: Quantum Override
Your mastery of magical physics allows you to phase through space and resist mental interference.
When you take damage, you can use your reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this reaction once per short rest.
Additionally, you can reroll a failed Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma saving throw once per long rest. When you do, you also gain advantage on concentration checks for 1 minute.
Level 14: Observational Singularity
Once per long rest, you can enter a state of hyper-awareness for 1 minute. While in this state:
- You gain truesight out to 60 feet.
- You automatically succeed on Intelligence checks.
- You can cast counterspell or dispel magic as a bonus action.
Additionally, choose one condition: charmed, frightened, blinded, or stunned. You are immune to that condition while this feature is active. You may change your chosen condition after a long rest.
