Monk
Base Class: Monk

Fools? They achieve enlightenment through nonsense. They tumble, stab themselves, laugh at pain, and by embracing the absurd, they bend fate to their will. To allies, they’re either madmen or geniuses. To enemies, they’re nightmares… because you never know what they’ll do next.

Level 3: Fool’s Vitality

• When you take damage, you gain Fool’s Power equal to half the damage taken (rounded up).

• Fool’s Power adds to your next attack or damage roll made before the end of your next turn.

• You can hold a maximum Fool’s Power equal to 2 × your proficiency bonus.

• Bonus Action: Damage Self. You may deal 1d6 damage per proficiency bonus to yourself, gaining Fool’s Power as above.

Level 3: Clown's Acrobatics

• You gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you don’t already have it.

• When you make an Intimidation check, you can use your Performance or Acrobatics skill instead.

• When a creature makes a melee attack roll against you and misses, you can use your reaction to move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

Level 6: Fortune’s Folly

• When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can roll a d6 and apply the result:

• On an odd number, add it to your roll.

• On an even number, subtract it from your roll.

• If this roll causes you to fail, you can spend 1 ki point to reroll the attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, and you must use the new result.

Level 11: Death Dance

• When you are at or below half of your hit point maximum, you gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws.

• Once per turn, when you make an attack roll and miss, you can deal damage to the target equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.

Level 17: Fool’s Gambit

• When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can spend 3 ki points to immediately make one melee weapon attack against each creature within your reach.

• After resolving these attacks, you instead drop to 1 hit point.

• Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
