Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Ledger act as living auditors of reality—measured, calm, and spiritually infallible. They bring balance through forms, contracts, and pressure-point enforcement.

Ledger’s Form

You learn the art of Bureaucratic Form — a slow, deliberate martial style.

- When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can impose a “compliance marker.” The creature has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes before the end of your next turn.
- You gain proficiency with Calligrapher’s Supplies.
- You may use these tools as your ki focus (Monk spellcasting focus).

Level 3: Bureaucratic Step

When you use Step of the Wind, you do not leap far — instead, you teleport up to 10 feet into a shadow or workspace you can see. This is treated as slow-motion movement, flavor only. It cannot pass through walls or creatures.

Level 6: Stillness of Compliance

You can use your action to force a creature within 30 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, it is Charmed by you until the start of your next turn and cannot move willingly. This effect requires no concentration and can be used a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per long rest.

Level 11: Audit Aura

You project an aura of spiritual scrutiny. When a creature within 10 feet of you makes a Charisma (Deception) or Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage.

Additionally, you have advantage on Insight and Investigation checks made to detect lies, illusions, or hidden truths.

Level 17: Cosmic Balance

Once per long rest, you can submit a full metaphysical audit.

As an action, choose up to 3 creatures you can see within 60 feet. Each must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, it is paralyzed for 1 minute and overwhelmed with the weight of unpaid karmic debt. It may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.

Creatures immune to charm or fear have advantage. You are immune to the frightened condition while using this feature.
