Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Most rogues rely on shadows, silence, or a single killing stroke. A Blade Tempest does not. To them, battle is not only a contest of steel, but also of rhythm, calculation, and poise. Every step is deliberate, every motion rehearsed, every pause brimming with hidden threat. They are the calm in the storm’s eye and the storm itself, weaving across the battlefield with such control that even retreat becomes an attack.

Where others see chaos, a Blade Tempest sees inevitability. They do not strike carelessly; they strike with timing so exact that an enemy’s guard becomes the opening for their fall. To face a Blade Tempest is to face a duelist who wastes nothing—who turns stillness into sudden violence, who makes even a feint or sidestep into a lethal stroke.

Many who walk this path come from backgrounds where movement and performance are already second nature: dancers who traded stages for battlefields, gladiators who learned to dazzle and kill with equal flair, or tacticians who see combat as choreography. Others are born in violence and discover, through instinct, that there is rhythm even in slaughter.

A Blade Tempest is always calculating. They use patience as a weapon, freezing into deceptive stillness before suddenly appearing behind their foe. They strike, withdraw, and return like the crash of thunder. To fight them is to realize too late that every movement they made—every shift of stance, every breath drawn—was a step toward your downfall.

Strike a Pose

Your movements blur with unpredictable elegance.

  • When you use Steady Aim, you may choose to Strike a Pose. On your next turn, at the start of your movement, you can teleport up to half your speed to an unoccupied space you can see.
  • This movement does not count against your movement speed for the turn, and it does not break the conditions of Steady Aim.
  • This movement is still prevented if you are grappled, restrained, or under similar effects.

Step of the Tempest

Your momentum carries destructive force, even when you retreat.

-You ignore the first 20 feet of fall damage.

-When you take the Disengage action, each creature of your choice within 5 feet of you must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or be pushed 5 feet away from you.

Eye of the Calming Storm

You see clarity within chaos, striking with precision where others strike wildly.

  • When you would gain advantage on an attack roll, you may instead choose to make two separate attack rolls against the same target (without advantage).
  • If both attacks hit, the attack deals additional damage equal to your Sneak Attack dice once (rolled once, not doubled).
  • You can only benefit from this feature once per turn.

Sudden Gale

Your movements whip across the battlefield with destructive force.

When you teleport via Strike a Pose, you may force each creature within 5 feet of where you appear to make a Strength saving throw (same DC as Step of the Tempest). On a failed save, they are knocked prone.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Tempest Unleashed

You embody the storm fully, blending flawless motion with lethal precision.

Strike a Pose (Unleashed):

  • When you use Steady Aim, you may choose to Strike a Pose. On your next turn, at the start of your movement, you can choose to teleport up to your speed to an unoccupied space you can see, but you are forced to use Steady Aim, reducing your speed to 0 and preventing further movement this turn.

Eye of the Calming Storm (Unleashed):

  • When you would choose to exchange your Advantage on an attack to make two separate attack rolls against the same target (without advantage), you may instead choose to make:

    • one of the attack roll gain Advantage or;
    • three separate attack rolls on any chosen targets.
      • You can choose to do this equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.
  • If your target is Proned, one attack deals  additional damage equal to twice your Sneak Attack dice once.

  • You can only benefit from this feature once per turn.

Sudden Gale (Unleashed):

  • Enemies knocked Prone by you from any source receive Force Damage equal to you Proficiency Bonus.
