Base Class: Paladin
This oath is to be made to an evil or chaotic deity. When you take this oath at the third level, all radiant damage done by class Features now does necrotic damage.
Tenets of Blood
- Hunger makes you Fear
- Fear tells you to Sacrifice
- Sacrifice others for Power
- Power.
Channel Divinity
At 3rd level, you can channel the divinity from your deity. You can choose one of the two options once per long rest.
- Blood Drinker: Use your action to drink the blood of a living creature or a creature that has died within the past hour and gain several benefits for the next 10 minutes. Casting Divine Smite does not have to consume spell slots, instead you can choose to consume 5 HP per smite level, but you cannot cast Divine Smite this way at a spell level you have not yet gained. The damage to yourself cannot be reduced any way. You cannot use temporary HP to use this feature. You cannot lower your HP lower than 1 using this feature, if you have 5 or less HP, you cannot use this portion of Blood Drinker until you heal yourself to at least 6 HP. You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage for the duration.
- Killer’s Initiative: You can only use this feature immediately after a violent death of another creature size small or larger that has occurred within 30 ft of you. As a reaction on another creature’s turn, you can cast a spell that has a casting time of 1 action or less.
Aura of Pain
At 7th level, when you or a friendly creature violently kills another creature that is within 10 ft of you, a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) of the killer’s choice that is not you, within 10 ft of you take 1d4-1 necrotic or radiant damage (killer’s choice) and the killer gains temporary hitpoints equal to the damage dealt.
At level 18, this aura increase to 30 ft.
Blood Magic
At 15th level, you can replace the spell slot requirement for Paladin spells you know by consuming 5 HP per spell level. Spells cannot be casted higher than 5th level using this feature. You cannot partially suffice the spell slot requirement with this feature. Damage to yourself by this feature cannot be reduced in any way. You cannot use temporary HP to use this feature. This feature cannot be used to reduce your HP lower than 1. If for any reason you consume some HP, but not enough to meet the spell level required, then the spell fails. For example, if you have 12 hit points and you try to cast a level 3 spell using this feature, then 11 HP is consumed and the spell fails, because you need 15 HP consumed for the spell to work.
Maniac
At level 20, after receiving at least 25 damage in one turn while maniac is not already active, you may use your reaction to activate Maniac. For the next minute you and your weapon bleed with necrotic magic gaining several effects. During this time, you have resistance to all damage except Radiant and Necrotic, gain +10 movement speed, -2 AC, and add your Charisma modifier to your melee attack’s damage rolls. You can use Maniac once per long rest.
