Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Twin Veil walk the delicate line between mercy and oblivion. They act as arbiters of fate, ensuring that death comes as it is meant to: a peaceful dawn for the weary, or a shadowed dusk for the corrupt. They channel the duality of the twin gods of death, Kaelor and Vaeryth, to weave life and death into perfect balance.
Followers of the Twin Veil are often misunderstood: seen as either executioners or saviors depending on which god they honor in the moment. They rarely stay in one place long, as their duty calls them to where death is most unbalanced — plagues, wars, or corrupt immortal rulers.
Level 3: 3rd Level – Twin Veil Initiate
You gain the following benefits:

Death’s Dual Strike: Your unarmed strikes can deal radiant or necrotic damage (your choice when you hit).

Veil of Balance: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you may choose one:

Dawn: Restore hit points to a creature within 10 ft equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1).

Dusk: The fallen creature’s essence lashes out — another creature of your choice within 10 ft must succeed a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or take necrotic damage equal to your Martial Arts die.

Level 6: Breath of the Twins
You can call upon both gods to tip the scales of life and death.

As a bonus action, spend 2 ki points to either:

Kaelor’s Breath: Stabilize all dying creatures of your choice within 15 ft and grant them temporary hit points equal to your monk level.

Vaeryth’s Breath: Force a Constitution saving throw on all creatures of your choice within 15 ft. On a failed save, they take necrotic damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die and cannot regain hit points until the end of your next turn.

Level 11: Balance of the Veil
Your mastery of death deepens.

Whenever a creature dies within 30 ft of you, you may use your reaction to either:

Bless the Passing (Dawn): You and allies within 10 ft regain hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Curse the Fading (Dusk): Enemies within 10 ft must make a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on their next attack roll or saving throw before the end of your next turn.

Level 17: Harbinger of the Twin Deaths
You become the living arbiter of Kaelor and Vaeryth.

As an action, spend 4 ki points to invoke The Twin Veil for 1 minute:

Your unarmed strikes deal both radiant and necrotic damage simultaneously.

You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage.

Any creature reduced to 0 hit points within 30 ft triggers both Dawn and Dusk effects.
