Base Class: Bard
Note: College of the Quori was designed with the 2014 rules and mechanics in mind. This is the 2024 version compatible version.
The Kalashtar have a deep connection to their Quori, a dream spirit, formed through willing bonds, familial inheritance, or direct descent from a human mother and a dream spirit father. Even if they do not know their Quori's name due to communication barriers, they can access the innate magic of dreaming through this bond, usually felt only through instinct or inspiration.
The magic of a Kalashtar Bard is unique, deriving from their innate bardic talent and connection to the dream realm through the Quori. They use their chosen form of expression—be it instrument, voice, dance, or poetry—alongside psionic abilities to tap into dream realm magic while awake. Initially, this enhances their racial traits and influences bardic inspirations, but with greater control over their connection, they can channel that energy to cast spells directly sourced from the dream realm.
Quori Bardic
Each of your Bardic Inspirations carries a random emotional component which affects your party members. When granting a Bardic Inspiration to a party member, you (the player) must roll a d8 and consult the corresponding table to find which effect occurs. These effects last until the end of your Bardic Inspiration (10 minutes (2014)/1 hour (2024)) unless otherwise stated.
Upon reaching level 6, rolling on the Quori Bardics table becomes optional and several effects change. You may now infuse your bardics with one of these effects a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per Long Rest. You are not limited to choosing a different effect each time.

Dream Sharing
You gain the Sleep spell. It counts as a bard spell for you and does not count against spells known. Once per long rest, you can cast this spell at the highest level you have access to without expending a spell slot - Source, The College of the Vast Dream
Additionally, gain proficiency with Rapiers.
Color Out of Space
Starting at 3rd level, as an action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspirations to bend the invisible colors of the dream realm and manifest the nightmares of a creature you can see for the next minute. The nightmare manifests itself in a 10-foot cube within 30 feet of that creature, and can only be seen by them.
The target is forced to make a Wisdom saving throw against your bard spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d6 + spellcasting ability modifier psychic damage, unless it's immune to the Frightened condition. The damage increases to 3d6 damage at 6th level, and 4d6 at 14th level. - Source, The College of the Vast Dream
Quori Bardic Chanelling
At 6th level, you have learned how to channel your Quori's memories outside of sleep by returning to certain memories dealing with debilitating emotions. The total number of Bardic Blocks you are allowed to bestow is equal to half the number of your Bardic Inspirations rounded down, and it uses a Bardic Inspiration slot.
Bardic Blocks must be used at the start of the target's next turn, at which point the player must roll a D20, the outcome of which determines the effect on the target. The effects are as follows:
| D20 | Effect |
| 1-5 (Anger) | The affected target is affected by sudden, temporary blinding rage, losing accuracy and prudance. They roll with disadvantage on their rolls to hit. |
| 6-10 (Confusion) | The affected target becomes confused and must make an attack roll on the nearest ally. |
| 11-15 (Woe) | The affected target is overcome with debilitating woe and takes on one level of exhaustion. |
| 16-19 (Fear) |
The affected target takes on the Frightened condition and allies get advantage on attacks against the target. |
| Nat 20 (View of the Sublime) | Instead of an emotion, the enemy is shown a memory of the vast cosmic realm of dreaming, staring into the face of unfathomable secrets. The target is brought to their knees and made prone. Unlike the other rolls, the target must make a saving throw of 12 + the player's Wisdom modifier at the start of each of their turns to be released from the vision. |
These effects last until the beginning of the player's next turn and Bardic Blocks reset after a short rest. Gifting a Bardic Block counts as a bonus action.
The Quori Bardics effect block is now optional and now utilizes "Lvls 6-20" side of the table. The player may choose an effect to bestow upon an ally. You can do this as many times as your Charisma modifier per Long Rest and are not limited to choosing a different effect each time.
Attuned Dreaming
At 14th level, your connection to your Quori has strengthened to the point where you can use your Quori magic to aid in your saving throws. Up to 3 times per long rest you may substitute your Wisdom modifier in place of a lower skill modifier.
Additionally, the number of Bardic Blocks available to you is now equivalent to the number of Bardic Inspirations you can grant.
Additionally, you gain the Dream spell. It counts as a bard spell for you and does not count against your spells known. Unlike with Sleep, gained with Dream Sharing, you must expend a spell slot to cast this spell. -Source, College of the Vast Dream
