The Heartstealer Rogue thrives in the shadows of emotions, wielding their deep understanding of the heart as both a weapon and a shield. With the ability to manipulate feelings, whisper doubts, and paralyze with a mere look, they navigate battles and intrigues by sowing discord and exploiting vulnerabilities.

Level 3: Emotional Manipulator

At 3rd level, you gain expertise in persuasion and insight. The line between persuasion and deception for you is blurred, and you can change any deception check into a persuasion check.

Level 3: Heart's Whisper

At 2rd level, you learn to use your voice to distract and unsettle your enemies. As a bonus action or reaction, you can whisper to a creature within 30 feet, you can make a Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by the creature's Wisdom (Insight) check. If you succeed, you gain advantage on attack rolls and ability checks against the creature for 1 minute or until you attack it.

A creature that has been subjected to this effect in the past gains advantage on its Insight checks against you. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once),  and you regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Level 9: Lover's Gaze

At 9th level, your gaze can captivate and control. As an action, you can focus on one creature that can see you, forcing it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your Charisma Modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature is charmed by you for 1 hour or until you or your allies harm it. While charmed, the creature reveals its deepest desires and fears to you, and you gain advantage on your next attack against it. Your first successful attack against the creature paralyzes it with shock until the end of its next turn, as it's shaken by your emotional betrayal.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Level 13: Bitter Sweetness

At 13th level, your attacks are imbued with the agony of lost love, causing additional pain. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a sneak attack, you can inflict an extra 2d6 psychic damage. Additionally, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of its next turn, as the sorrows you've inflicted clouds its focus and judgement.

Level 17: Heartbreaker's Plan

At 17th level, you've learned to slip away from danger. When you are hit by an attack or targeted by a spell, you can use your reaction to turn ethereal, dodging the attack or spell and teleporting up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see, gaining advantage on the creature targeting you. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
