Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Some rogues are thieves. Some are assassins. But a few live for one singular purpose: to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. These rogues weave vengeance into an art form. Each betrayal sharpens their blade, each kill balances the ledger. Whether it’s land, a name, or simple dignity, the Rightful Avenger stalks their enemies one by one until nothing remains but silence.

Level 3: Mark of Betrayal

You learn to mark enemies who have wronged you.

As a bonus action, you can mark a creature you can see within 60 feet for 1 minute.

While marked, the first time you hit that creature each turn, you deal an additional 1d6 damage.

If the creature reduces an ally to 0 HP, your next attack against it before the end of your next turn deals advantage and ignores resistance.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses on a long rest.

Level 3: Shadow’s Due

Your obsession with revenge grants you expertise in retribution.

Gain proficiency with the Intimidation skill (or one other if already proficient).

When you succeed on a Stealth check to remain hidden, you gain advantage on your first attack against the creature that betrayed or harmed you or your allies.

Level 9: Supreme Sneak

You gain the following Cunning Strike option.

Stealth Attack (Cost: 1d6). If you have the Hide action’s Invisible condition, this attack doesn’t end that condition on you if you end the turn behind Three-Quarters Cover or Total Cover.

Level 9: Reclaim the Stolen

Your strikes tear away not only life, but dignity. When you land a Sneak Attack on a marked creature:

You may immediately steal a token of theirs (coin pouch, jewel, personal trinket) without an additional action, if they carry one.

Once per turn, when you deal Sneak Attack damage to your marked target, you can choose to reduce their AC by 1 (minimum 10) or impose disadvantage on their next attack roll.

This represents you stripping away their power piece by piece.

Level 13: Blood Owed

Your hatred fuels you beyond mortal limits.

When a marked target is reduced to 0 HP, you may immediately move up to half your speed and make another weapon attack as a reaction.

If that attack hits, you deal extra damage equal to your Rogue level.

This ability can only be used once per short or long rest.

Level 17: Thief’s Reflexes

You are adept at laying ambushes and quickly escaping danger. You can take two turns during the first round of any combat. You take your first turn at your normal Initiative and your second turn at your Initiative minus 10.

Level 17: Ledger of Vengeance

Your vendetta is absolute. At the start of combat, you may choose up to two creatures you can see to mark with your Mark of Betrayal.

Additionally, marked targets now suffer a fear effect: the first time they take Sneak Attack damage from you, they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Dexterity modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
