Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Demon Blade channel the fury of an oni lurking deep within their spirit. Their rage isn’t just primal, it’s an overwhelming demonic surge that pushes body and blade beyond mortal limits. To their enemies, they appear as a relentless beast, fighting even when death should have claimed them.
Oni’s Fury
When you rage, you draw upon the might of an oni. While raging:
-
Your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d4 damage (increases to 1d6 at 10th level, 1d8 at 14th level). This damage is the same type as the weapon.
-
If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
Mist of Blood
As a bonus action while raging, you can exhale a thick, crimson mist. The mist lightly obscures an area in a 15-foot radius centered on you and lasts until the start of your next turn. While inside this mist:
-
You have advantage on melee attack rolls.
-
Enemies have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to see you.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1). You regain all uses when you finish a long rest.
Dread Presence
When you rage, creatures of your choice within 10 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + PB + CON). On a failed save, they are frightened of you until the start of your next turn.
A creature that succeeds is immune to this effect for 24 hours
Oni’s Endurance
While raging, you gain resistance to psychic damage in addition to Rage’s normal resistances.
If you would be reduced to 0 hit points, you can instead drop to 1 hit point (once per Long Rest).
Demon’s Last Stand
When you are reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you can make a final stand:
-
Stay conscious for 1 minute or until you take damage again at 0 HP.
-
Gain advantage on melee attack rolls.
-
Speed +10 ft.
-
Melee attacks crit on 19–20.
When this ends, you fall unconscious and begin death saves as normal.
Once per Long Rest.
