Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of the Mighty is sworn by paladins who believe that true greatness is earned through courage, strength, and heroic acts. These champions are bold and boastful, often exaggerating their deeds—but their prowess in battle and unwavering resolve are undeniable.

Members of this oath gain the ability to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies with their Fearsome Roar, move effortlessly across walls and ceilings with their Tarsal Claws, and soar into combat with Warrior’s Wings. At the pinnacle of their power, they may assume their Ascendant of Might form, becoming towering symbols of might and resilience.

Oath of the Mighty paladins protect the helpless, uphold justice, and inspire awe on the battlefield. Their abilities reflect the duality of their nature: small and cunning one moment, grand and overwhelming the next.

Level 3: Oath of the Mighty Spells

Your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of the Mighty Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Oath of the Mighty Spells
Paladin Level Spells
3 Hellish Rebuke, Hex
5 Enlarge/Reduce, Misty Step
9 Fly, Blinding Smite
13 Dominate Beast, Giant Insect
17 Insect Plague, Dominate Person

Level 3: Channel Divinity: Fearsome Roar

You can use your Channel Divinity to strike fear into the hearts of your foes with a thunderous declaration of your greatness.

As an action, you unleash a booming roar. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to your roar for 24 hours.

While at least one creature is frightened by your roar, you gain temporary HP equal to Cha modifier (minimum 0) + your paladin level at the start of your turn and you have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) and Charisma (Performance) checks.

Level 7: Tarsal Claws

You can move across vertical surfaces and ceilings as if affected by the spider climb. This movement requires no concentration.

Once per short rest, you can use a bonus action to leap up to 30 feet in any direction, including vertically. This movement ignores gravity and does not provoke opportunity attacks. You land gracefully and take no fall damage from this leap.

Level 15: Warrior’s Wings

You gain a flying speed of 60 feet.

Once per turn, if you fly at least 20 feet in a straight line and end your movement within 5 feet of a creature, you can make one melee weapon attack as a bonus action.

Level 20: Ascendant of Might

Once per long rest, when you use Fearsome Roar, you can bellow your name and assume your ultimate form of glorious might for 1 minute. While in this form, you have resistance to all damage (does not stack with other resistances), can make one additional weapon attack when taking the Attack action, have immunity to the charmed and frightened conditions, and if damage would reduce you to 0 HP, you instead drop to 1 HP and this effect immediately ends.
