Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of the Prestige turn the battlefield into a performance. They weave impossible illusions and utilize dazzling sleight of hand to confuse enemies, entertain allies and even appear to twist reality itself. They will shatter their illusions shatter into mind-bending concussive blasts, adding to the depth of their performances by wreaking havoc as feared duelists and cunning tricksters on the front lines of battle with grace and style.
Bonus Proficiencies
3rd-level College of the Prestige feature
When you join the College of the Prestige, you gain proficiency with the following:
- Firearms
- One finesse weapon of your choice (rapier, scimitar or short sword).
- Sleight of Hand
- Deception
- Disguise Kit
Flash and Flourish
3rd-level College of the Prestige feature
You have learned to blend swordplay and gunplay into your bardic performances.
- While two-weapon fighting, when you take an Attack action with a finesse melee weapon in your primary hand, which you are proficient with, and a firearm in your off-hand, you may choose to expend a bonus action to make a ranged attack. If you make an attack this way, add your Dexterity modifier to both attacks.
- As a master of sleight of hand, you no longer need a free hand to reload any one-handed firearm weapons.
Illusory Ruse
You have become adept in the art of the bait and switch and can now summon decoy duplicates of yourself to act as both distractions and weapons. These are not standard illusions and can act without your need to concentrate upon them.
Summon Double: As a bonus action, expend one of your Bardic Inspiration to create an illusory double within 10 feet of you in a space you can see.
- Doubles last for 1 min or 10 turns, whichever passes first.
- They have AC = 13 + your proficiency bonus and 1 hit point.
- The have a movement speed equal to yours.
- Have the same weapons, armor and physical features as you do at the time of their summoning.
- You may maintain 2 doubles at the 3rd level, 3 doubles at the 6th level and 4 doubles at the 14th level
You now have access to two types of Misdirections, punishing your enemies for guessing wrong.
- Shatter: As a bonus action, you may destroy any number of your active doubles. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of that double must then succeed an Intelligence saving throw (Your spell save DC) or take damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier. Increased to 2 dice at the 6th level and 3 dice at the 14th level.
- Distorting Riposte: When you are the target of an attack, you may expend your reaction to redirect the attack to any double within 5 feet of you, immediately swapping places with it before the blow lands and striking back at the enemy with your main hand weapon.
Prestigious Stagecraft
6h-level College of the Prestige feature
Your mastery over your doubles grows in intensity. They grow more deceptive and life-like, blurring the lines even further of what is real and what is deception for your foes.
- Mirror Strike: When you strike a creature with a melee weapon attack, one double within 30 feet of you can echo your strike. Choose a creature within 6 feet of that double. It takes psychic damage equal to the roll of the Attack roll + your Charisma modifier.
- Illusory Escape: When you Shatter a double, you may choose to teleport into it's space. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
- Improved Doubles: Your doubles now have an AC = 14 + your proficiency bonus.
Grand Mirage
14th-level College of the Prestige feature
You are now a master of breathtaking displays of clone magic.
As an action and once per long rest, summon a number of doubles equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 2) anywhere you can see in an area of 30 feet. These doubles do not count towards your count of maximum doubles. They last for 1 minute or 10 turns, whichever passes first. While Grand Mirage remains active, you have access to the following actions:
- Mirror Legion: While at least one double remains from Grand Mirage, you may swap places with any double before you or they are attacked, or during your turn freely for no cost (Limit once per turn).
- Chain Shatter: When you Shatter a single double, you may choose to Shatter any number of doubles simultaneously, or in any order you choose.
- Distortion Loop: When you Shatter any doubles during Grand Mirage or swap places with them using Mirror Legion, you become magically invisible until the start of your next turn and move as though you are under the effects of the Blur spell.
