Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

The Usurper is the whisper of treachery in the heart of every court, the hand that snaps the tyrant’s chains, and the fire that lights revolutions. To follow the Usurper is to embrace freedom at any cost — but freedom is a double-edged blade. Those who swear themselves to this patron find power in rebellion, in betrayal, and in the corruption that festers when noble causes turn cruel.

Usurper Spells

The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Usurper Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Usurper Spells
Warlock Level Spells
3 Disguise Self, Hellish Rebuke, Command, Bane
5 Mirror Image, Pass Without Trace
7 Counterspell, Fear
9 Greater Invisibility, Phantasmal Killer

Chains Broken

At 3rd level, you can break restraints, both physical and magical. When you or a creature within 30 feet of you makes a saving throw to resist being grappled, paralyzed, or restrained, you can use your reaction to grant them advantage on the roll.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Mantle of Rebellion

At 6th level, you can call on your patron to cloak allies in defiance. As a bonus action, you choose up to three creatures within 30 feet of you (including yourself). For 1 minute, each chosen creature gains temporary hit points equal to your warlock level + your Charisma modifier.

While they have these temporary hit points, they cannot be frightened or charmed.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Knife in the Dark

At 10th level, you can betray fate itself to strike when it’s least expected. When you make an attack roll against a creature that is engaged in combat with one of your allies, you can give yourself advantage on the attack.

If the attack hits, you deal extra psychic damage equal to your warlock level.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Tyrant's Fall

At 14th level, you can call forth the full wrath of rebellion. As an action, you unleash a wave of defiant energy in a 30-foot radius centered on you. Each enemy of your choice in the area must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take 8d8 psychic damage and fall prone as their spirit buckles under visions of their downfall.

On a successful save, they take half damage and remain standing.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
