Base Class: Rogue
Rogues often cheat, lie, and ignore societal taboos to get what they want. You have taken this to the extreme by ingesting the blood of an ancient Devil to gain power. Somehow you survived. Maybe you already had some Devil blood in you or maybe your roguish luck saved you again. Now the power of a Devil is yours.
Level 3: Fiendish Strength
The strength of a devil flows through you. You gain proficiency with Martial Weapons. All weapons that you are proficient with gain the Finesse property while you are holding them if they do not have the Heavy property.
Level 3: Devil Charged
You have 6 Devil Dice which are d6s that fuel your Devil powers. When you roll one of these dice it is expended. You regain all expended Devil Dice when you finish a Long Rest.
When you reduce an enemy to 0 Hit Points, you regain one of your expended Devil Dice and gain Temporary Hit Points equal to 1d6 + your Constitution modifier. You also gain this benefit if someone else reduces an enemy within 10 feet of you to 0 Hit Points.
Level 3: Hell Shot
Summon the weapons of hell to gain an edge in battle. As a Bonus Action you can roll 2 Devil Dice to summon a demonic firearm in a free hand and make a ranged attack against an enemy that you can see within 20 feet of you. Being within 5 feet of an enemy doesn’t impose Disadvantage on this attack. If you used Sneak Attack on this turn, you can roll just 1 Devil Die to use this Bonus Action.
This attack uses your Dexterity and Proficiency bonus for the attack roll and on hit does Fire or Necrotic damage (your choice) equal to the total rolled on the Devil Dice expended + your Dexterity modifier. If you hit a creature with this attack, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Level 9: Imperfect Devil Trigger
Embrace the devil within. At the start of your turn you can expend one of your Devil Dice to take on a Devil-like appearance for 1 minute (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a Short or Long Rest. While transformed, you gain the following benefits:
Devil Vitality. The Temporary Hit Points generated by your Devil Charged feature increase to 2d6 + your Constitution modifier.
Fiendish Alacrity. When you take the Attack action and cannot use Sneak Attack you can attack twice, instead of once.
Hellish Revenge. You can take a Reaction after an enemy attacks you to expend a Devil Die and make a weapon attack against them. If this attack hits you gain Advantage on your next attack.
Level 13: Hellish Power
You now regain up to 3 expended Devil Dice when you finish a Short Rest.
In addition, when you use Hell Shot you can summon two demonic firearms and make two attacks instead of one. You roll the expended Demon Dice once and use the result for determining the damage of both attacks. The second firearm will briefly replace a weapon in your other hand when fired and the second attack can be made against a different creature than the first.
Level 17: Perfect Devil Trigger
You have mastered the devil within and can now unleash your true form. Your Imperfect Devil Trigger feature can now be used twice before needing to finish a Short or Long Rest and also grants you the following additional benefits:
Devil Flight. You grow wings and gain a Flying speed of 60 feet. You do not provoke [Tooltip Not Found] when you fly out of an enemy’s reach.
Fiendish Tenacity. You gain +4 bonus to your Armor Class and your current and maximum Constitution score increases by 4.
Hellish Fury. All of your attacks can deal Fire or Necrotic damage and ignore Resistance to Fire or Necrotic.

Posted Oct 9, 2025Inspired by characters like Dante and Nero from Devil May Cry. Well suited for non-traditional campaigns or tables that prioritize the Rule of Cool above all else. The intent was to give the Rogue class a more offense-focused subclass that rewards aggressiveness in combat encounters and facilitates easier use of Sneak Attack and a broader range of weapon options.
Version 1.5 is just a general update to the Subclass to actually make it work with D&D Beyond Character Sheets and to make the features a bit more clear and easier to understand.
