A Shadow Hunter has studied ways to avoid confrontation in a fight, able to pick off foes before they can retaliate. Most often born in dangerous areas, Shadow Hunters have learned to use the shadows to their advantage, developing a deadly but avoidant fighting style.

Shadow Hunter Fighters are able to hit shots with their bows from much farther ranges than others and often find hiding from foes easier than others. It is said that Shadow Hunters are almost magical in their stealth, and that may just be true.

Level 3: Avoidant

You can take the hide action as a bonus action. Additionally, the normal and long range of bows you wield is increased by 100 feet.

Level 3: Shadow Magic

You are able to cast the spell Darkness a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier without expending a spellslot. You regain all expended uses of this ability when you finish a long rest. At level 7, you gain the ability to cast the spell Pass Without Trace once per long rest without expending a spellslot. At level 10, you gain the ability to cast Greater Invisibility once per long rest without expending a spellslot.

Level 7: Formless Pierce

Whenever you hit an enemy with a melee or ranged attack while hidden or invisible, or whenever you hit a ranged attack from long range, you deal an additional 1d8 piercing damage.

Level 10: Endless, Nameless

Whenever you reduce a creature's hitpoints to 0, you may immediately use your reaction to cast the spell Invisibility without expending a spellslot. If you cast Invisibility this way, it does not require concentration and lasts until the end of your next turn.

Level 15: Greater Pierce

The extra damage you deal with Formless Pierce increases to 2d8.

Level 18: One with Shadow

You lose all presence in battle, giving you these benefits.

Enshrouded. You have Advantage on all Stealth rolls.

Darkness Incarnate. You may hide as if you were Heavily Obscured even in Non-obscured or Lightly Obscured conditions.
