Monk
Base Class: Monk

Shaman Monks centre their focus beyond their own bodies, bypassing physical limits to obtain a supernatural connection with the greater world. Using their focus, they can perform rituals and alter their minds to commune with spirits, other realms, and magic itself.

Level 3: Spellcasting

You have learned to cast spells.

Cantrips. You know two cantrips of your choice from the Druid spell list. Whenever you gain a Monk level, you can replace one of these cantrips with another cantrip of your choice from the Druid spell list.

When you reach Monk level 10, you learn another Druid cantrip of your choice.

Spell Slots. The Shaman Warrior Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your level 1+ spells. You regain all expended slots when you finish a Long Rest.

Prepared Spells of Level 1+. You prepare the list of level 1+ spells that are available for you to cast with this feature. To start, choose three level 1 spells from the Druid spell list.

The number of spells on your list increases as you gain Monk levels, as shown in the Prepared Spells column of the Shaman Warrior Spellcasting table. Whenever that number increases, choose additional spells from the Druid spell list until the number of spells on your list matches the number on the table. The chosen spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For example, if you’re a level 7 Monk, your list of prepared spells can include five Druid spells of levels 1 and 2 in any combination.

Changing Your Prepared Spells. Whenever you finish a Long Rest, you can replace one spell on your list with another Druid spell for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your Druid spells.

Spellcasting Focus. You can use an Druidic Focus as a Spellcasting Focus for your Druid spells.

Level 3: Spiritual Language

You know Druidic, the secret language of Druids.
You can use Druidic to leave hidden messages. You and others who know Druidic automatically spot such a message. Others spot the message’s presence with a successful DC 15 Intelligence (Investigation) check but can’t decipher it without magic.

Additionally, you gain proficiency in the Medicine and Nature skills.

Level 6: Ki Caster

When you cast a spell, you can expend a number of Focus Points equal to a spell’s level, instead of expending a spell slot. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Level 11: Shaman's Focus

Your Monk’s Focus features become enhanced.

Sustain Energy. When you expend a Focus Point on Patient Defence, you can also expend and roll one Hit Die, regaining hit points equal to the amount rolled + your Wisdom Modifier.

Flourished Movement. When you expend a Focus Point on Step of the Wind, you gain a bonus to the next saving throw you make until the end of your next turn. This bonus equals your Wisdom Modifier.

Level 17: Resonating Soul

As a Magic action, you can expend 5 focus points to focus your magic around the very essence of your being. For the next minute, once per turn, whenever you cast a spell or expend a focus point, you can activate one of the following secondary effects.

Heal. One creature you can see within 15 feet of you regains hit points equal to one roll of your Martial Arts Die.

Shift. You teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.

Weave. You can add +1 to the Attack Roll or Save DC of the spell or monk feature that triggered this.
