Monk
Base Class: Monk

The motto of the monks of the Way of the Hummingbird is that even water cuts through rock if it moves fast enough.  Masters of this discipline teach how to enhance the mind such that the world around you slows. Practitioners of this discipline are some the fastest creatures to exist.

Reflexive Counter

Beginning at 3rd level, your quick mind and study of your foe allows you to use their failure to your advantage.  If a creature misses you with an attack, you can immediately use your reaction to make an unarmed melee attack against that creature.

In addition, being surprised no longer prevents you from using your reaction.

Improved Unarmored Movement

Starting at 3rd level, your speed increases by 10 ft. You gain an additional 5 ft. of movement at levels 6, 10, 14, and 18.

Eyes of the Hummingbird

At 6th level, your awareness and reflexes have become honed to the point that the world seems slower to you. Once per turn, if you have already taken your action, you may spend 1 ki point to take an additional reaction. You can only use one reaction per trigger.

Extra Attack

At 11th level, you can attack three times, instead of twice, when you take the attack action.

Blur of the Opal Step

At 17th level, you gain the ability to expend 4 ki points to cast the haste spell (self only), without requiring verbal, somatic, or material components. Also, when you cast haste in this way, you do not require concentration and your jump distance is tripled for the duration.
