Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of the Bulwark binds a paladin to unwavering protection. These warriors become living shields for the innocent and the wounded, enduring the blows others cannot. Their divine strength manifests not in retribution, but in radiant walls, healing power, and barriers that turn back death itself.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of the Bulwark Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity- Aegis of the Faithful

As a bonus action, choose up to 3 creatures within 30 feet. Each target gains:

  • Temporary hit points equal to 2d8 + your Paladin level
  • Resistance to all damage from the next source that affects them before the start of your next turn.

This ward lasts for 1 minute, or until depleted.

At 15th level, this improves to 4d8 + your Paladin level, and you may choose 5 creatures.

Bulwark's Vow

You gain the Sanctuary spell. It is always prepared for you and counts as a paladin spell.

  • When you cast Sanctuary on an ally, they may make one weapon attack or cantrip without ending the effect.

  • You may cast Sanctuary once per long rest without expending a spell slot or material components.

Aura of the Bastion

You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain:

  • +1 bonus to AC
  • Damage reduction from area-of-effect attacks (such as fireball) equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1)
  • Advantage on saving throws against being pushed, pulled, or knocked prone

At 18th level, the aura’s radius increases to 30 feet.

Healing Intercession

When you use Lay on Hands or restore hit points with a spell, the target also gains one of the following benefits:

  • Gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier

  • Ends one condition on the target: blindeddeafenedparalyzed, or frightened

  • Stands up from prone without using movement

You may use this benefit a number of times per long rest equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once).

Aegis Incarnate

As an action, you assume the form of a divine bastion for 1 minute. For the duration, your Aura of the Bastion extends to 60 feet and allies in the aura gain:

  • +2 AC
  • Resistance to all damage
  • Immunity to fear and charm

Once per turn, when an ally within the aura would drop to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to instead cause them to drop to 1 hit point and gain temporary hit points equal to your Paladin level + Charisma modifier

You can use this feature once per long rest, or by expending a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
