Druid
Base Class: Druid

When mentioning the word witch, many instantly think of the witch druids belonging to the Circle of the Brew. Their unique practice is so iconic that it has helped define the very idea of what a witch is.

Circle of the Brew witches worship nature and spirits equally, drawing upon both to create their magic. They see the natural world as a source of endless gifts — herbs, roots, and essences — meant to be transformed into powerful potions and brews through the aid of spirits. These witches distill natural and spiritual energy alike, bottling their power into elixirs that can heal, curse, or reshape life itself.

Because of their unconventional practices and willingness to bend nature’s flow to their own purposes, Circle of the Brew druids are considered eccentric among their kin. They are more likely than other druids to dwell near villages or cities, using their witchcraft to help others. Many become renowned healers, herbalists, and apothecaries, while others use their art to defend their covens or sway their enemies with enchanted brews.

In the world of witches, the Circle of the Brew holds a special place: they are often the healers and potion-masters within their covens, and their rare brews can fetch fortunes.

Witchmark:
Witchmarks for druids of this circle vary widely. Some appear as tattoos or natural markings shaped like vines coiling around the arms and legs. Others take the form of earth-stained feet, symbolizing their bond with nature and the ground that provides their ingredients. A few witches even bear the recipe of their first magical brew inscribed upon their skin, a sacred mark of mastery and creation.

Level 3: Collapsible Cauldron

At 2nd level, you gain the ability to take a cauldron with you wherever you go by reducing it to the size of a thimble.
As an action, you can collapse or expand your cauldron from its thimble size to its full size, or vice versa.
It takes 1 minute for the cauldron to complete the transformation.
The cauldron weighs nothing when collapsed and 70 lbs when full-sized.

You can make any cauldron worth at least 20 gp collapsible by concentrating on it for 1 hour. When you make a new one collapsible, the previous one loses this property.

Level 3: Brew of Wild Shape

You can create a brew of wild shape in your collapsible cauldron using 10 minutes of time and one use of your Wild Shape feature.

Any willing creature who drinks it immediately uses Wild Shape as if they were a druid, following normal Wild Shape rules.
If the creature isn’t a druid, they can only stay transformed for half the normal duration. When it ends, they must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be stunned for one round.

If consumed unwillingly or unknowingly, the brew has no effect.
You cannot regain the used Wild Shape until the brew is consumed, destroyed, or after a long rest.

At the end of a long rest, any unused brews lose their magic.

Level 3: Circle Spells

You gain access to special Circle Spells at certain druid levels. These spells are always prepared for you and don’t count against your prepared spells.

If a spell isn’t normally a druid spell, it still counts as one for you.
These spells can also be used for brewing (see Magical Brew).

Druid Level Circle Spells
3rd Vile Visage, Toil and Trouble
5th Bestow Curse, Haste
7th Polymorph, Enhance Talent
9th Hold Monster, Unrecall

Level 3: Magical Brew

Starting at 3rd level, you can create magical brews from your Circle Spells.

  • Brewing takes 10 minutes.

  • It consumes a spell slot one level lower than the spell’s normal level (minimum level 1).

  • You can’t brew a spell higher than its base level, and can’t ritual-cast while brewing.

  • Material components are still required.

Magical brews take effect even if drunk unwillingly or unknowingly.
If the brew requires a saving throw, the drinker rolls with disadvantage.

After a long rest, all unconsumed brews lose their power, and you regain all spell slots.
You can maintain a number of active magical brews equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1).

Level 6: Refined Brew of Wild Shape

Any creature that consumes your brew of wild shape—even unwillingly—is transformed into a beast form of your choosing (from forms you can assume).

Creatures no longer make a Constitution saving throw when reverting from Wild Shape.

Level 10: Expert Ritualist

When casting a spell as a ritual, both the time and material component cost are reduced by half (rounded down).

Level 14: Master Brewer

When preparing spells after a long rest, choose one druid spell that affects only one creature.

You can create magical brews from that spell while it’s prepared, even if it’s not a Circle spell.
You may choose a new spell at the end of a long rest.
