Base Class: Bard
COLLEGE OF TERROR
Bards who partake in this college are typically those of warped and twisted moral and ethic personas. Thieves, murderers, and serial criminals all find this College to be rather fitting for their misdeeds and happily partake in either song or tale to weave their own twisted self into the story.
The bloodthirst that often comes with this college lends to Evil Alignments. As such, Bards who follow this college must be of the following alignments: Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil, and Chaotic Neutral.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Terrors, you gain proficiency with the Sleight of Hand and Sneak skills.
Eerie Hum
Additionally at 3rd level, whenever you cast a Bard spell that would apply a condition to an enemy, you may spend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to either reduce the affected target's initial saving throw, or double the duration on a successful application. Affected creatures may still attempt to break conditions as normal.
Chilling Breath
At 6th level, whenever an enemy fails a saving throw against a charm, stun, or frightened effect you control they must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. If they fail, they are paralyzed for one round, then the original effect will apply as normal afterward. Once a creature has been affected by this ability, they gain immunity from this ability for the next 24 hours. Creatures who are immune to charm, stun, and/or fear effects are not affected by this ability.
Imposing Presence
At 14th level, you may spend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to ignore any immunity to fear and charm effects of one enemy for one round.
Additionally, whenever you make an initiative roll, you may choose Intelligence or Wisdom. Any hostile creature within 30ft. of you must make the corresponding saving throw against your spell save DC. Each hostile creature takes 1d10 Psychic damage, and an additional 1d10 for every level beyond 14 you possess. Creatures who succeed the saving throw take half damage, any creatures with immunity to fear and/or charm effects, as well as enemies who have caught you by surprise take no damage from this ability.
