Channel Ancient Fungal Wisdom

Druids of the Circle of Pleurotus draw from the ancient wisdom of an isolated tribe of Pleurotus myconids and their musty underground library. They study the natural cycles of decomposition and growth and learn from the symbiotic relationships between microbial life and the grandest of flora and fauna. Their arcane knowledge is matched by their unique ability to nurture and harness the motes of fungal life that surround them always.

Level 3: Circle of Pleurotus Spells

When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of Pleurotus Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

In addition, when you initiate your Symbiotic Entity feature, you may cast a spell or cantrip from the Circle of Pleurotus Spells table as part of the action.

Circle of Pleurotus Spells
DRUID Level Spells
3 Blindness/Deafness, Chill Touch, Gentle Repose
5 Animate Dead, Gaseous Form
7 Blight, Confusion
9 Cloudkill, Contagion

Level 3: Halo of Spores

You unleash invisible, necrotic spores on a creature nearby. When a creature you can see moves into a space within 15 feet of you or starts its turn there, you can use your reaction to deal 1d6 necrotic damage to a creature unless it succeeds on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC.

The necrotic damage increases to 1d8 at 6th level, 1d10 at 10th level and 1d12 at 14th level.

Level 3: Level 3: Symbiotic Entity

As a Magic action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape to awaken spores around you. When you first activate Symbiotic Entity on your turn you may also cast a spell or cantrip from the Circle of Pleurotus Spells table as part of the action, provided you have an available spell slot to expend. While this feature is active, you gain the following benefits for 10 minutes:

Temporary Hit Points. You gain 4 temporary hit points for each of your Druid levels.

Halo of Spores Improvement. When you deal your Halo of Spores damage, you may roll the die three times instead of once.

Spore Strikes. Your melee attacks deal extra necrotic damage equal to one of your Halo of Spores damage dice.

When you lose the temporary hit points granted by this feature, you must succeed on a DC13 Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of your turns, or the benefits end.

Level 6: Level 6: Fungal Infestation

Your spores gain the ability to infest a corpse and animate it. When a beast or a humanoid that is Small or Medium dies within 15 feet of you, you can use your reaction to animate it, causing it to rise immediately with 1 Hit Point. The creature uses the Zombie stat block from Appendix B of the Player’s Handbook, except it uses your Spell Attack modifier for its attack rolls. It remains animated for 1 hour, or until it has 0 Hit Points, at which time it collapses and dies.

In combat, the zombie's turn comes immediately after yours. It obeys your mental commands and the only action it takes is the 'Slam' Attack action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier (minimum once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 10: Level 10: Spreading Spores

As a Bonus Action while your Symbiotic Entity feature is active, your hurl your Halo of Spores to a location up to 30 feet away, where they swirl in a deadly 10-foot Cube for 1 minute. The spores disappear early if you use this feature again, if you dismiss them, or if your Symbiotic Entity feature is no longer active.

If a creature other than yourself is within the area when you create it, or if it enters the area or ends its turn there, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take your Halo of Spores damage. A creature can take this damage no more than once per turn.

While the Cube of spores persists, you can’t use your Halo of Spores reaction.

Level 14: Level 14: Fungal Body

The fungal spores in your body alter you: you have Immunity to the Blinded, Deafened, Frightened and Poisoned conditions, and any Critical Hit against you counts as a normal hit instead, unless you're incapacitated.
