Base Class: Monk

Chinese martial training often is done to improve the mind and body. To get the most out of your training, practitioners tend to use metallic rings around the wrists and ankles to add weight during the process. The southern Chinese kung-fu style of Hung Ga is a hard, strong style that uses rooted stances. Hung Ga practitioners use iron rings in strengthening arms and tight fists. Hung Gar is derived from the Shaolin kung-fu system developed during the Ching dynasty.

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with smith’s tools as well as the Athletics skill. Additionally, your Unarmored Defense may be calculated using your Constitution modifier instead of Dexterity.

Ferrous Technique

When you use ki points to activate Patient Defense, you gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage as well as advantage on checks and saving throws to resist being grappled, restrained, forcibly moved or knocked prone.

Strike the Iron while it's Hot

You gain resistance to fire damage. Additionally, whenever you use your Step of the Wind feature to Dash, if you move at least 10 feet in a straight line and successfully hit with the Attack action, you gain an additional Martial Arts die of damage for your next unarmed attack made.

Improved Ferrous Technique

As a bonus action you can spend 2 ki points to enter an improved defensive stance for the normal duration of your Patient Defense. While in this improved stance, you gain resistance to cold and force damage, your unarmed attacks ignore resistance to any bludgeoning damage and treat immunity as resistance as well as an inability to be moved against your will.

Body of Iron

Your Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores increase by 2 to a max of 22 for those abilities. Also, you gain resistance to magical bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage.
