Base Class: Paladin
Paladins who swear themselves to the Oath of Splendor know that the appearence of power is often more important than power itself. They value the connective tissues of society above all else, and vow to eliminate any threats to what they view as harmony between peoples. Paladins of Splendor can frequently be found in lavish balls or in closed doors meetings with important power brokers, using palace politics to further their goals. To them, intrigue is just another tool to be used in the pursuit of good. Knowing that an unaware enemy is often a defeated one, these warriors are just as dangerous in well-tailored vests and gowns as they are in chain mail.
These paladins share the following tenets:
- Use grace as your shield
- Find delight in beauty and spread it
- Show kindness to all who deserve it
Level 3: Oath of Splendor Spells
The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Splendor Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Paladin Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Charm Person, Disguise Self |
| 5 | Calm Emotions, Suggestion |
| 9 | Hypnotic Pattern, Tongues |
| 13 | Charm Monster, Freedom of Movement |
| 17 | Geas, Dominate Person |
Level 3: Unnerving Beauty
Your dashing good looks distract your foes, making you harder to hit. While not wearing armor, your base Armor Class equals 10 plus your Dexterity and Charisma modifiers.
Level 3: Radiant Presence
Your captivating personality can light up any room. As a Magic action, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to choose a number of creatures up to your Charisma modifier in a 30 feet emanation (centered on yourself) to succed on a Charisma saving throw or have the Charmed or Blinded conditidion (your choice) for one minute. The creature repeats the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
A creature charmed by this feature does not know it was charmed even after the effect is ended.
Level 7: Aura of Propriety
Posture is everything. You and your allies cannot be knocked Prone against your will while in your Aura of Protection. If a Prone ally enters the aura, they can choose to immediately get up without using any of their movement speed.
Level 15: Superior Grace
Your grace and charm are also instruments of combat. While not wearing Heavy or Medium armor, your Speed increases by 10 feet, and you can add your Charisma modifier to weapon damage rolls of attacks made with Finesse weapons.
Level 20: Elegance Incarnate
As a Bonus Action, you can empower yourself with your pure, umbridled charisma, gaining the benefits below for 10 minutes or until you end them (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).
Irresistible Charm. Creatures have Disadvantage on saving throws against being Charmed caused by your spells and Channel Divinity options. You also ignore Immunity to the Charmed condition.
Graceful Movement. You can Dash as a Bonus Action and your movement does not provoke Opportunity Attacks.
Immovable Presence. You have Advantage on Charisma, Wisdom and Intelligence saving throws.
