Base Class: Monk
An ancient style prioritizing incendiary brute force and toughness, this way was pioneered by a monk seeking to achieve the might of a dragon to burn through any mental or physical barrier. It requires immense discipline and patience, and not only incredible physical toughness but a strength of spirit. This mystical side to the way surprises some that are only familiar with the art's destructive power, but the tradition produces monks who are warriors and philosophers. The grueling training to transcend one's limits eventually pays off, with the monk's fighting spirit giving their strikes a burst of perilous draconic fire and allowing them to withstand any flames. Monks of this way are prone to taking on adventures, wanting to test themselves against fiercer and fiercer opponents to break through the next level in their training. They can sometimes be aggressive and cause collateral damage with their "help", but should they learn to unleash and then tame their inner dragon, few things can stand up to their fists.
Level 3: Blazing Fist
With a kiai and surge of fighting spirit, this technique causes your strikes to catch fire and scorch the target.
When you hit a creature with a Martial Arts attack, it deals 1d4 bonus Fire damage. This damage increases to 1d6 at level 5, 1d8 at level 11, and 1d10 at level 17.
Level 6: Fire Forged
At this stage of the journey, your familiarity with intense heat and extensive training in high temperatures strengthens your ki into a force like dragon's scales, letting you stand against flames unflinchingly and keep your cool when under fire.
You have resistance to Fire damage, and advantage on saving throws against being Burned.
Level 11: Furious Flames
The intensity of your strikes has reached a level akin to a true dragon's ferocity, and can crack through the toughest defenses and effortlessly scorch foes.
You can critically strike on a roll of 19 or higher, and you can choose for your unarmed attacks to deal Fire damage or their normal damage type.
Level 17: Dragon's Claw
You gain the ability to set up volatile vibrations in someone’s body that can explode with draconic fury. When you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike, you can expend 4 Focus Points to start these volatile vibrations, which last for a number of days equal to your Monk level. The vibrations are harmless unless you take an action to end them. Alternatively, when you take the Attack action on your turn, you can forgo one of the attacks to end the vibrations. To end them, you and the target must be on the same plane of existence. When you end them, the target must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 10d12 Fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
You can have only one creature under the effect of this feature at a time. You can end the vibrations harmlessly (no action required). In addition, your Martial Arts attacks ignore Fire resistance and treat Fire immunity as Fire resistance.
