Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Some of those who’s blood is tainted with the magic of Gruthmor swear an oath to learn its ways, bind it, and control it. When used, Anarchy Magic consumes the will of its user, causing a miriad of deadly but uncontrollable effects. Those who learn to use this power to its fullest are named Anarchy paladins.

Some Anarchy Paladins use their power to protect, while others embrace the chaos that it entails, allowing the magic to fully consume their minds and manifest on them in physical form. For those who chose to embrace their blood, those who try to subdue it are seen as hypocrites and blasphemers. These Anarchy Paladins, often called Anarchy Fundamentalists, form organizations or clans dedicated to spreading chaos and anarchy.

Level 3: Touch of Chaos

The Blood of Anarchy has altered the Lay on Hands ability native to Paladins. Now, you can use points from the ability while touching an enemy to cause their body to go haywire. When doing so, you may use an action to make a touch attack on the enemy. On a hit, you may expend any amount of your Lay on Hands points to deal an equivalent amount of damage. You may choose any elemental damage type for this attack (Fire, Cold, Acid, Poison, Lightning, or Necrotic).

Channel Divinity

You gain two new Channel Divinity options:

Embrace Anarchy - As a bonus action, you allow your Blood of Anarchy to consume your mind, granting you immense power for 12 seconds (2 rounds), but taking away your control of your own body. While in this state, four black spectral arms sprout from your person, wielding duplicates of whatever weapon you are armed with, allowing you to make two additional attacks as part of the attack action. However, at the beginning of each of your turns, while this effect is active, you must roll a d4.
--On a 1-2, you must roll on the Anarchy Magic table and resolve the rolled effect on yourself. In addition, your attack action is consumed, as the arms resolve two attack rolls against your closest ally within melee attack range. If there is no ally within range, the arms instead attack the closest creature to you within attack range (if there is none, your attack action is simply consumed with no further effects). If multiple creatures are of equal distance to you, the DM will resolve randomly.
--On a 3-4, your body refuses to move for the duration of the effect, reducing your movement speed to 0. However, your melee attack range increases by 10ft for your two additional attacks (and those two attacks per turn ONLY), as the spectral arms reach out to slaughter your foes.

Aura of Anarchy - When used as a bonus action, roll twice on the Anarchy Magic table, and pick one of the two options you rolled. This effect applies to you and all creatures within 30ft of you for the stated duration of the chosen effect.

Level 7: Smite of the Anarchist

When you use your Divine Smite spell, you may choose for either you or your target to roll on the Anarchy Magic table and resolve the rolled effect.

In addition, when you use your free cast of Divine Smite (the one not requiring a spell slot due to your Paladin's Smite feature), it doesn't cost a bonus action, allowing you to use two Divine Smites that turn, or use your bonus action for something else on that turn. When casting Divine Smite as normal, it still costs a bonus action.

Level 15: Battlemaster of the Upheaval

Your Blood of Anarchy, when coated on a weapon, enhances its killing properties. A number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier, you may spill your own blood, taking 1d10 damage, to gain the following properties on one weapon of your choice (no action required):

All of the following effects last for 6 seconds (1 round of combat):

1. If the effect is placed on a ranged weapon, you can now cast the Divine Smite spell with that ranged weapon, ignoring the requirement that the weapon be a melee weapon.

2. Any weapon this effect is placed upon gains the Light and Finesse properties, as well as the Thrown property for a range of 20(60).

3. Any weapon this effect is placed on gets an additional 10ft of reach/range for attacks with that weapon. (Excluding the granted thrown property.)

4. After landing an attack on an enemy with the affected weapon, you gain advantage on all other attacks with that weapon against that same creature, for the duration of this effect.

5. Any attack made with the affected weapon will deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.

Level 20: Glory of Anarchy

Your blood now, when allowed free rein, adapts both the powers of your Anarchy Magic and your Paladin abilities to unleash strikes imbued with a combination of both. Now, when your Embrace Anarchy channel divinity is active, you gain the following additional effects:

1. You may cast Divine Smite without a spell slot for the duration of the channel divinity. (This effect does benefit from your Smite of the Anarchist feature, removing the bonus action requirement for Divine Smite for the duration.)

2. While your Embrace Anarchy channel divinity is active, and you cast Divine Smite, you may roll on the Anarchy Magic table and choose any effect within 5 higher or 5 lower than what you rolled. That effect is then applied to either you or the target of your attack, doubling the duration of the effect if it has a duration. (This effect replaces your Smite of the Anarchist roll for the duration of the channel divinity.)
