Base Class: Druid
Druids of the Circle of the Swarm believe that an ecosystems greatest strength is their numbers. They see a ship of busy workers as akin to the hive of bees that work tirelessly for their queen. A network of rats working together for food, sneaking through a tightly run city with a noble king. The similarities of society can be seen in the many minds of a swarm.
Disappearing into a flurry of bats when struck, the druids spirit connects to each individual creature in the swarm. Passing through, they change shape into a horde of rats that tear through their enemies. Legends speak of a druid that could turn into an entire ecosystem on their own.
Circle Spells
3rd-level Circle of the Swarm feature
You have a connection to an endless number of creatures in your soul. This unique ability grants you access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of the Swarm Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Circle of the Swarm Spells
| Druid Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 2nd | faerie fire, magic missile |
| 3rd | mirror image, web |
| 5th | melf's minute meteors, spirit guardians |
| 7th | faithful hound, giant insect |
| 9th | animate objects, insect plague |
Wild Swarm
2nd-level Circle of the Swarm feature
Your endless number of spirits hidden in your soul allows you to split your body into multiple forms. When you use Wild Shape to transform into a beast, you can turn into a beast with the swarm tag as long as it meets the requirements to transform into.
Powerful Swarms
6th-level Circle of the Swarm feature
Your swarms strength is potent, multiplied by their numbers. While transformed into a swarm, you are no longer prevented from regenerating hit points and your attacks are not weakened while below half of your maximum. Additionally, you can add your wisdom modifier as a bonus to your damage rolls and armor class while transformed into a swarm.
Disapparate
10th-level Circle of the Swarm feature
You make use of the dispersive traits that a swarm provides to dodge attacks at the last second. When you are hit by attack while not currently a swarm, you can expend a use of Wild Shape as a reaction to transform into a swarm you are capable of turning into. The attack is then applied against the swarms stats instead of yours, potentially missing and applying resistances if the attack still hits.
Army of Souls
14th-level Circle of the Swarm feature
Your unique capabilities can extend to other aspects of your Wild Shape. When you use Wild Shape to turn into a beast that is not a swarm, you may expend a Spell Slot to transform into multiple of that beast, each appearing in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. Each of these beasts act on your turn, and are each counted as separate creatures for the purpose of targeting and damage. The number of beasts you turn into is dependent on the level of spell slot used, referenced on the Army of Souls table. The number of total beasts created includes the one Wild Shape normally grants you.

Your Wild Shape only reverts from taking damage when your last beast is reduced to 0 hit points. Additionally, when your Wild Shape ends you may choose which beast reverts back to your form, unless only one beast is currently active.
