Base Class: Barbarian
“The grave is no cage for those who rage”
You were not meant to survive,- but something within you refused to die. Perhaps your heart was replaced with Aetheric core, your blood infused with necrotic fire, or your body resurrected by the hand of a god, or someone who believes themselves to be one.
whatever the cause, undeath clings to you like a second skin. Your fury is the rhythm that keeps your corpse moving. And your will power stitches your soul back together each time its torn apart.
Level 3: Revenant’s Fury
When you choose this path, the first time you enter a rage after finishing a long rest, the necrotic energy sustaining you flares to life. Your flesh tightens, your eyes glow with unholy vigor, and death recoils.
While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You have resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on death saving throws.
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + half your Barbarian level (minimum of 1).
- If you would be reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you may make a Constitution saving throw (DC 10 + the damage taken beyond 0). On a success, you instead drop to 1 hit point. You can use this feature once long rest.
Flesh-Stitched Resilience
Your undead physiology grants you durability beyond the living.
You gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws (if you don’t already have it).
Additionally, your body begins to partially repair itself even when unconscious:
- At the start of each of your turns while you are at 0 hit points but not dead, roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, you regain 1 hit point and rise with half your movement speed.
Level 6: GraveDancers Vitality
Your bond with undeath grows more symbiotic — pain feeds your regeneration.
Whenever you take damage while raging, you may use your reaction to draw upon that pain to mend yourself.
You regain 1d8 hit points per 10 points of damage taken, up to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1d8).
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Additionally:
- You no longer require food, drink, or air.
- You can function normally without sleep, though you must rest to reduce exhaustion as normal.
Level 10: Undying Ferocity
Your rage becomes the fuel that restitches your broken flesh.
While raging, you gain Regeneration equal to your Constitution modifier at the start of each of your turns (minimum 1).
If you take radiant damage, this regeneration doesn’t function until the end of your next turn.
Additionally, whenever you are healed by an effect (magical or otherwise), you can choose to empower your next attack — dealing an additional 1d8 necrotic damage per instance of healing received before your next turn
Deathless Apex
At the peak of your undeath, you become a horror of persistence — a storm of bone and sinew that refuses to rest.
You gain the following benefits:
- When you enter a rage, you immediately regain hit points equal to half your maximum HP.
- You no longer die instantly from massive damage; you always make death saving throws instead.
- When you are reduced to 0 HP for the first time each long rest, your rage automatically reignites. You rise to your feet with 1 HP and your rage persists for 1 more minute — even if its duration would normally end.
While in this Deathless Rage, you:
- Are immune to being frightened, paralyzed, or charmed.
- Deal an additional 1d10 necrotic damage on all melee attacks.
- Cannot regain hit points — the power fueling you is burning the last of your lifeforce.
When this rage ends, you immediately suffer one level of exhaustion.
