Base Class: Bard
Bards of the Fourfold Song are the former musicians of the Fey Courts, virtuosos whose melodies once shaped the seasons themselves. Their art fuses music and nature, weaving elemental magic through every chord. With each performance, they call forth Spring’s renewal, Summer’s blaze, Autumn’s charm, or Winter’s stillness, shifting the battlefield like a living symphony. To hear their song is to feel the turning of the year made manifest.
Level 3: Seasonal Resonance
Your music embodies the shifting elements of the Feywild’s seasonal courts.
When you finish a long rest, choose one Season to embody: Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.
You can change your Season after a long rest, or as an Action by expending one use of your Bardic Inspiration.
Whenever you grant or a creature uses one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, your music immediately stirs the world around you, triggering the effect of your chosen Season.
(You can trigger this effect once each time you give a Bardic Inspiration die.)
Spring – Renewal’s Melody
Life blossoms in your wake.
- The target (or another creature of your choice within 30 ft.) regains hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + half your bard level (rounded up).
- Small blossoms sprout, pollen drifts, and motes of green light flicker in the air.
Example flourish: a trill of harpstrings scatters flowers across the ground, each bloom pulsing with life.
Summer – The Burning Refrain
Your chords blaze like sunlight, searing and jubilant.
- When you grant or a creature uses your Bardic Inspiration, one creature of your choice within 10 feet of the target takes fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- In addition, the recipient of the inspiration gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
- Flames dance harmlessly along your instrument or weapon whenever you play or cast.
Example flourish: a fiery crescendo rolls across the battlefield as a note strikes, scattering golden embers like applause.
Autumn – The Drowsing Dirge
Your melodies lull the senses and pull at the bittersweet edges of memory.
- One creature of your choice within 10 ft. must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or have disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
- Your enchantments carry the scent of fallen leaves and warm cider.
Example flourish: a slow, haunting violin bow that causes enemies to pause mid-motion, eyes heavy with memory.
Winter – The Frosted Aria
Your notes ring clear and cold, echoing like chimes over frozen water.
- One creature of your choice within 10 ft. takes cold damage equal to your Charisma modifier and has its speed reduced by 10 ft. until the start of your next turn.
- Frost blooms in your footsteps and crystalline tones hang in the air when you play.
Example flourish: the final note of your song hangs as a visible snowflake before shattering into icy motes.
Level 3: Verdant Virtuoso
You are a musician whose art bridges refinement and the primal pulse of nature. Your songs are not learned, they bloom.
You gain the following benefits:
- Expanded Spell Access: You may select your spells from the Bard or Druid spell lists. All spells you learn this way count as Bard spells for you, and you use Charisma as your spellcasting ability.
- Druidcraft: You learn the Druidcraft cantrip if you don’t already know it.
- Nature’s Muse: You gain proficiency in Nature and one musical instrument of your choice. When you use an instrument as a spellcasting focus, your spells manifest with fey, elemental flair of your choosing.
Voice of the Wilds: When you perform, you can communicate simple ideas and emotions to beasts, fey, and plants, as if under Speak with Animals and Speak with Plants.
Level 6: Seasonal Flourish
You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration as a Bonus Action to unleash the elemental magic of your chosen Season.

Flourish Effect |
|
Spring – Healing Bloom |
Choose up to three creatures within 30 feet of you. Each regains hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + your Bardic Inspiration die. Flowers and vines briefly sprout in their footprints. |
|
Summer – Radiant Anthem |
You release a radiant pulse of heat and valor. Each creature of your choice within 10 ft. must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking fire equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + Charisma modifier on a failure (half as much on success). Allies of your choice within 10 ft. gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier. Flames flicker around their weapons, adding brilliance to their strikes until the start of your next turn. |
|
Autumn – Enchanting Breath |
Choose creatures within 30 feet equal to your Charisma modifier. Each must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be Charmed by you until the start of your next turn. If they are immune to Charm, they have disadvantage on their next attack roll before the start of your next turn. A golden wind stirs around them, carrying the scent of ripe fruit and nostalgia. |
|
Winter – Crystalline Echo |
Each creature of your choice within 10 feet must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take cold damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + Charisma modifier and are Slowed until the start of your next turn. Frost patterns trace the ground in perfect symmetry. |
Level 14: Symphony of Seasons
You have mastered the full harmony of the Feywild’s cycle, your music now echoing through all four courts at once.
- You can embody two Seasons at the same time. When you use your Bardic Inspiration or Seasonal Flourish, you may apply the effects of both Seasons simultaneously.
- In addition, once per long rest, you may perform the Fourfold Symphony, a 1-minute masterpiece channeling the power of all seasons.
When the performance concludes:
- Allies of your choice within 60 feet gain temporary hit points equal to your bard level + Charisma modifier.
- Enemies of your choice within 60 feet must make a Constitution saving throw or take 4d8 cold, 4d8 fire, 4d8 radiant, or 4d8 thunder damage (you choose the type for each target).
- The terrain within 60 feet cycles through the seasons, blossoms sprouting, sunlight blazing, leaves falling, snow glittering, before settling into a renewed calm.
