Base Class: Monk
Some monasteries teach discipline through fists, blades, or elemental control. But rare masters of Gun Fu perfect the union of firearm and martial art. To them, a pistol is as natural as a palm strike. They move in a deadly dance — striking, shooting, and flowing between weapons and body as though they were one.
Level 3: Gun Kata
You merge unarmed strikes with firearms.
Bullet Fist. You gain proficiency with and ignore the loading property of all one-handed firearms. One-handed firearms count as monk weapons for you but the weapon’s damage die will always be substituted by your martial arts die.
Point Blank. Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls. When you take the Attack action and attack with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can immediately make an additional firearm attack with a one handed firearm as part of the same action against a creature that is within 5ft of you.
Level 6: Zen Targeting
You can bend gunfire into impossible patterns.
Ricochet Shot. When you make a firearm attack, you can spend 1 Discipline Point to have the bullet ricochet, targeting a second creature within 20 feet of the original target. Make a separate attack roll against the second target.
Focused Burst. When you take the attack action with firearms and have no hostile creatures within 5ft of you, you may expend your bonus action to roll your Martial Arts die twice when calculating your firearm damage.
Empowered Shots
Whenever you deal damage with a firearm, you can deal your choice of Force damage or its normal damage type.
Level 11: Bullet Storm
Your gunplay is a synchronised storm of martial arts and lead.
Eye of the Storm. As a Magic Action you expend 3 Focus points to force all hostile creatures within 15ft of you to make a Dexterity saving throw or take Force damage equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die. On a successful save, creatures take half damage. You cannot use Flurry of Blows as a bonus action on the same turn that you use Eye of the Storm.
Suppressive Barrage. As a Magic Action you may expend 3 Focus Points to cause all creatures within a 30ft cone make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, creatures take Force damage equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die and gain the Frightened condition until the end of your next turn. On a successful save, creatures take half damage only. You cannot use Flurry of Blows as a bonus action on the same turn that you use Suppressive Barrage.
Bullet Time
Bullet Weaver. When you use Focused Burst, you may expend 1 Focus point to also use Patient Defence.
Perfected Storm. Your Eye of the Storm increases to a 30ft radius and your Suppressive Barrage increases to 60ft cone. Both features roll an additional 2 Martial Arts die in damage.
Precision Burst. When you use your focused burst feature, you can spend 1 additional Focus Point to roll three Martial Arts die when determining damage.
