Base Class: Ranger
Origins & Lore
Long ago, the Keepers first peered into Aurora’s echoing heart and saw infinite versions of every Higher Soul. Most drift harmlessly, but a few fracture, mutate, and claw their way back into the living story. To police this multiversal back-door, the Keepers forged an order of rangers who could call upon their own alternate selves for aid. Echo Hunters keep no fortresses; instead they leave sigil-marked “mirror trails” across the districts. When an anomaly surfaces—an outsider godling, a corrupted shard of reality, or an Echo who’s snapped their tether—the order assembles, stepping sideways through reflections to strike before the wound widens.
The Role
Echo Hunters are the Keeper’s Sect’s covert blades—trackers who pursue rogue Echoes (player-characters gone astray) and burn out any corruption that bleeds between planes. Where Horizon Walkers patrol the edges of reality, Echo Hunters slip straight through them, hunting threats inside Aurora’s own reflection: the Plane of Echoes.
Echo Hunter Magic
You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Echo Hunter Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.
Echo Hunter Spells

|---|---|
| 3rd | protection from evil and good |
| 5th | mirror image |
| 9th | tongues |

Mirrored Experience
3rd-level Echo Hunter feature
You can align yourself with on of your echoes to gain some of their knowledge and experience. You gain proficiency in one language, tool, or skill of your choice. You can swap this proficiency to another of your choice whenever you finish a long rest.
Language
You can speak, read, and write one language of your choice.
Skill or Tool
You have proficiency with one skill or tool of your choice.
Vessel of Echoes
3rd-level Echo Hunter feature
You've learned how to wield the other aspects of your higher soul, called echoes. You have a number of echoes equal to the number of characters you've played previously in Project Aurora, up to a maximum of five.
During a long rest, you can designate each of your echoes to perform an action from the following list when certain conditions are met. Once an echo has performed its action, it cannot do so again until you finish a long rest. You cannot have more than two echoes set to perform the same action (ex: more than two echoes set to perform a Mirrored Strike).
- Mirrored Strike. When you take the Attack action and hit, you can have this echo make a single additional attack with the same weapon.
- Recalled Strength. When you take damage, this echo can cause you to regain hit points equal to your ranger level plus your proficiency bonus.
- Refined Casting. When you cast a spell using a spell slot of 1st level or higher, you can have this echo restore an expended spell slot whose level is less than or equal to half your proficiency bonus.
- Shared Swiftness. When you take the Dash action, you can have this echo grant you an extra 10 feet of movement and a climbing speed or swimming speed equal to your walking speed until the end of the turn (choose when you assign the echo).
- Twinned Mind. When you make a saving throw, you can have the echo grant you a bonus equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Echoed Assault
7th-level Echo Hunter feature
Once per turn, when you make a weapon attack, you can create an echo in an unoccupied space you can see within 15 feet of you. You can choose to have the attack originate from the echo's space instead of your own, using the same attack roll and damage. The echo disappears immediately after the attack. This attack doesn't reveal your position if you were hidden.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Legacy of Many
11th-level Echo Hunter feature
When you finish a long rest, choose two of the actions that you have designated echoes to for your Vessel of Echoes feature. An echo isn't expended the first time you use either of the selected actions.
Echo's Resonance
15th-level Echo Hunter feature
You can step through reality to pursue your target. As a bonus action, you can cast the teleport spell without expending a spell slot. A creature that you've hit with a weapon attack within the last hour can serve as your destination when casting teleport this way.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
