Bard
Base Class: Bard

These Bards are students of comedy who live for the sound of laughter, but for the College of Jesters, humour is much more than entertainment. It is a sublime, almost divine, force. The absurdity and chaos of existence are their scriptures, and comedy is their highest form of worship. Members of the College of Jesters embrace the moniker of "fool" as it grants them a mask of ignorance, allowing them to make fools of others and expose hypocrisy and pretension. They are masters of misdirection, using laughter to disarm and psychic chaos to control.

Level 3: Vicious Truths

Mockery Mastery: Your Vicious Mockery cantrip deals an extra 1d4 psychic damage.

The Punchline: When a creature fails its saving throw against your Vicious Mockery, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration. That creature is then also Disoriented until the end of its next turn.

Disoriented: A creature suffers Disadvantage on its next attack roll or saving throw (whichever comes first). This effect lasts until the end of its next turn.

Level 3: Chaotic Footwork

You gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill. If you already have this proficiency, you can add twice your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.

You can use your Bonus Action to take the Disengage action, allowing you to move through the space of any creature (even hostile ones) without provoking opportunity attacks.

Level 6: The Audience of Fools

Also at 6th level, you learn how to use your jests to distract, confuse, and otherwise sap the confidence and competence of others. When a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a damage roll, you can use your reaction to expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling a Bardic Inspiration die and subtracting the number rolled from the creature’s roll. You can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails, or before the creature deals its damage. The creature is immune if it’s immune to being charmed; however, it need not be able to hear you, since Bards from the College of Jesters are also practised mimes, and they can also use their faces and their physicality alone to create effective jests.

Level 14: The Final Jest

When you fail a saving throw or when a spell or attack deals damage to you, you can use your reaction to make a sudden, exaggerated, and hilarious collapse.

All enemies within 30 feet who can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (against your spell DC) or be Stunned until the start of your next turn as they are seized by debilitating laughter or utter shock at the audacity of the display.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Level 14: Fools Rush In

Starting at 14th level, when a creature makes an attack roll against you or a target you can see, you may use your reaction to expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling the die. When you do:

You granted the target temporary hit points equal to the die roll + your Charisma modifier.

You and the target immediately gain the benefits of the Dodge action until the start of your next turn.

You may move up to half your speed as part of this reaction.
