“My god is dead. My purpose remains.”

A paladin bound not by devotion, nor justice, nor vengeance — but by a final divine directive that outlived their god.

You guard what must never fall into mortal hands.

 

Word of the Fallen

As an action, you speak the final command your god gave you.

Choose any number of creatures within 30 feet that you can see.

  • Allies gain advantage on Wisdom and Charisma saving throws for 1 minute.
  • Enemies must make a Wisdom save or become Frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

 

 

Abjure the Unworthy

As an action, you present your holy symbol and target a creature within 30 ft.

The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw.

On failure:

  • It is paralyzed until the end of your next turn.
  • Even on success, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against you for 1 minute.

 

 

Aura of Vigilance

Your presence sharpens senses and wards against manipulation.

You and friendly creatures within 10 feet gain:

  • +2 bonus to initiative
  • Proficiency in Perception checks (if they already have proficiency, they instead add +2 to passive Perception)
  • Resistance to being charmed or frightened

At 18th level, the aura expands to 30 feet.

 

Unbroken Purpose

Your divine mandate sustains you.

You gain the following benefits:

You no longer need food, water, or sleep (You still need 4 hours of motionless rest for a long rest.)

When you would be reduced to 0 HP, You instead drop to 1 HP once per long rest.

When you succeed on a saving throw, You can choose one ally within 30 ft to succeed on the same save.

 

Avatar of the Last Command

As a bonus action, you assume the form of your god’s last divine echo for 1 minute.

While transformed, you gain:

-Flight (40 ft)

 with radiant or bronze-glowing wings

-Resistance to all damage except force

-Your weapon attacks deal +1d8 radiant + 1d8 lightning

-You emanate a 30-foot aura of interdiction

-Creatures of your choice entering or starting their turn in the aura must make a Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of their turn.

-Once per turn, you can use a bonus action to teleport 30 feet in a flash of bronze light.

You can use this once per long rest.

 

Tenets of the last command

Paladins who take this oath swear to follow a dying god’s final order.

Guard the Sacred

That which can unmake nations must never fall into mortal hands.

Deceive When Needed

Truth is a tool; your mission is the law.

 Endure Without Recognition

You serve no throne, no nation, no living god.

Remember the Fallen

Honor the silent echo of the god you once knew.

 Obey the Last Command

Until released or destroyed.
