Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Judicators are fighter who swore their life to a life of blood and blade. They use their own vitality to strengthen their power

Level 3: Crimson Surge

3rd Level — Crimson Surge

Your body fuels your strikes with your own vitality.

  • Blood Power Die: You gain a Blood Power Die, which starts as a d6.
  • Dying Strength: Whenever you make a weapon attack, you add your Blood Power Die to the damage if you are below half your maximum HP.
  • Edge of Death: If you are at one-quarter or less of your maximum HP, you instead roll two Blood Power Dice and add both.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Vow of the Bleeding Blade

Your oath demands you never retreat from battle.

As a bonus action, you enter a Blood-Vowed State for 1 minute (PB per long rest):

While in this state:

  • You gain temporary HP equal to your Fighter level, but only once when you activate the state.
  • Your movement is not reduced from damage or critical hits.
  • When you hit an enemy with a melee attack, you may choose to take 1d6 damage to deal an extra 2d6 damage of the same type to the target.

(You cannot reduce this self-damage in any way.)

Blood Hemomancy

Your blood answers your commands.

  • Blood Reflex: When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack. If it still hits, you take half damage from it.
Uses per long rest = PB.
  • Hemorrhage Strike: When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, if you are below half HP, you may force the target to make a Con save (DC = 8 + your proficiency + your Strength or Dex mod).
On failure, it bleeds, taking 1d8 damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute.
The creature can repeat the save at the end of each turn.
  • These actions can be used again after a short rest.

Blood-Forged Resilience

Your suffering hardens into vigor.

You gain resistance to one of the following types of damage (your choice):

slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning.

You can change the chosen type each time you finish a long rest.

Additionally, when you would be reduced to 0 HP, you can instead drop to 1 HP and gain an extra use of Crimson Surge.

(Once per long rest.)

Curdling Momentum

Your pain becomes unstoppable motion.

Whenever you take damage that reduces you to half HP or lower:

  • You may immediately move up to your speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
  • Your next attack within 1 minute deals an additional 2 Blood Power Dice of damage.

No action required.

Can trigger multiple times per encounter (as long as you keep taking damage).

The Last Drop

When you stand on the edge of death, you become a force of unstoppable brutality.

While at one-quarter HP or less, you gain all the following benefits:

  • Advantage on all attack rolls
  • Resistance to all damage except force
  • Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a 19–20
  • When you reduce a creature to 0 HP, you may immediately use Crimson Surge without expending a use.

Additionally, once per long rest, when you enter The Last Drop threshold (¼ HP or less), you may choose to heal yourself to exactly 1/4 HP as your body floods with battle vigor.
