Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Chrono Knights are warriors attuned not just to the battlefield, but to the subtle currents of time itself. They perceive moments before they happen, move through space as if slipping between instants, and strike with the precision of someone who has already seen the outcome. Their wisdom guides every action, allowing them to anticipate, accelerate, or decelerate events around them.

At their most potent, Chrono Knights can freeze foes in suspended moments, leaving them vulnerable as reality seems to pause, or manipulate the flow of time around themselves to act with uncanny speed. To stand against a Chrono Knight is to fight not just a warrior, but the relentless tide of time itself.

Wisdom of Ages

You attune your senses to the echoes of moments long gone, reading the subtle impressions time leaves behind. Your wisdom sharpens your insight into the world, granting you advantage on Wisdom saving throws and letting you unravel clues through instinct rather than intellect. When your focus peaks, you briefly glimpse silhouettes of the past—ghostly after-images frozen where they once stood—allowing you to understand positions and movements without hearing or detail.

Time Skip

At 7th level, your attunement to the currents of time allows you to slip through the edges of reality. You step between instants, letting space fold around you as your form blurs, vanishes, and reforms with a faint ripple in the air. To those watching, you appear to flicker out of existence before reappearing a short distance away.

Using a simple bonus action, you can teleport to a location within the limited range granted by your wisdom—a brief displacement that bends space without fully severing your connection to the present moment. The shift feels effortless, as though you’ve passed through the thinnest seam in time itself.

Your destination must be clearly visible to you, and it must fall within the ability’s defined distance. Though not boundless, this controlled leap grants you exceptional mobility. In combat or exploration, you can bypass hazards, reposition with uncanny speed, and evade danger with movements that seem impossible for anyone anchored to normal time.

Accelarate Personal Time

Your mastery over time deepens, allowing you to shift your personal timeline at will.

Haste Surge.
You can cast Haste on yourself without expending a spell slot or requiring components. When you do so, the spell affects only you. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Temporal Shift.
You can momentarily speed up or slow down your personal perception of time. As a bonus action, choose one of the following effects, which lasts until the start of your next turn:

  • Quickstep: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and your first opportunity attack before your next turn is made with advantage.

  • Time-Lag: Your motions appear slightly delayed and distorted. The first attack made against you before your next turn has disadvantage.

You can use Quickstep or Time-Lag a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Time Lock

At 15th level, your mastery over time allows you to momentarily seize control of a creature’s personal timeline. As a bonus action, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature you can touch. On a hit, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier).

  • Failed Save: The creature takes 3d10 force damage and is stunned until the start of your next turn, frozen in a suspended moment of time.

  • Successful Save: The creature takes half damage and suffers no other effects.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Temporal Immunity

Your attunement to the flow of time allows you to sense and resist magic that attempts to manipulate it. When a spell or effect would stop, slow, delay, or otherwise alter your personal timeline, you can make a Wisdom saving throw against the caster’s spell save DC. On a success, you experience time normally, moving and acting as though the spell had no effect. Even the most potent temporal magic cannot easily halt your actions or perception; you remain anchored to the present, a master of your own timeline.

Temporal Slashes

At 18th level, your control over time allows you to strike at the very flow of a creature’s timeline. As an action, you enter a state of temporal focus:

  • Until the end of your turn, all attacks you make store their damage, in addition to dealing 1d10 force damage on each hit.

  • You can release all stored damage as a reaction, targeting one creature you hit this turn. The creature takes the total accumulated damage at that moment.

  • Stored damage cannot be healed or reduced by resistance while in temporal suspension.

You can use this feature twice per long rest, regaining its use after a long rest.
