Base Class: Sorcerer
Whether you are the offspring of a polymorphed T'ien Lung, the descendent of a humanoid that gained the favor of a one, or stumbled your way through life into a contract, you have acquired some of the draconic magic of the true dragons of Kara-Tur; the Lung (pronounced Lowng). The Lung serve the Celestial Emperor and the Celestial Bureaucracy as some of its many officers, collectively known as The Million Officials. They serve as guardians, lords and overseers over many areas of Kara-Tur such as the rivers, oceans and temples with each different type of Lung performing their own tasks.
This draconic connection has greatly altered your bloodline and grants you spells reminiscent of many Lung's magical abilities.
Level 3: Gift of the Lung
Thanks to your link with the Lung you possess the ability to dwell in the deepest ocean depths and highest peaks. You can breathe underwater, gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and don't suffer the effects of frigid weather or water.
Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thin sheen of dragon-like scales. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity and Charisma modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Because you ancestor is a T'ien Lung, you gain resistance to fire damage.
Level 3: T'ien Lung Spells
You gain access to the Produce Flame cantrip; it does not count against the number of cantrips you know.
Also, when you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the T'ien Lung Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Detect Magic, Hellish Rebuke, Dragon’s Breath, Invisibility |
| 5 | Fireball, Magic Circle |
| 7 | Charm Monster, Fire Shield |
| 9 | Flame Strike, Summon Dragon |
Level 6: Limited Shapechanging
Starting at 6th level, as an action, you can change into the form of a different creature. This feature functions as the shapechange spell but with the following exceptions:
- This feature is not itself a spell (cannot be countered by counterspell, dispelled by dispel magic, does not require concentration, and does not have any components)
- The chosen form(s) can only be a beast, dragon, or humanoid.
- The creature must have a CR of 0.
- The duration of the change lasts a number of minutes equal to 5 times your class level. You can extend the time of your transformation by using the ability again before the time runs out.
You may turn into a creature with a CR equal to half your proficiency bonus or lower (rounded down), but in order to do so, you must spend a number of sorcery points equal to twice the CR of the creature (minimum 1).
You may use this ability a number of times equal to 1 + half your proficiency bonus (rounded up). You regain all uses of this ability after a short rest.
Draconic Aspect
Starting at 14th level, as a Bonus Action, you can tap into more of your T'ien Lung heritage. For a number of minutes equal to three times your class level; your hair grows longer, your canines sharpen to fangs, and your skin becomes more scaly and shiny. You also gain the following effects:
- You gain a flying speed of 60 feet, if you already have a flying speed, it is added to your existing flying speed.
- You gain resistance to cold damage.
- You may use your Limited Shapechange an unlimited number of times (you must still spend points for CR above 0).
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest unless you spend 3 Sorcery Points (no action required) to restore your use of it.
Level 18: Celestial Magesty
Starting at 18th level, you gain the shapeshifting powers inherent in all Lung, as well as powerful magic of the T'ien Lung. You learn the shapechange spell and can cast it without material components or concentration. This spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
You also have access to two additional spells, sunburst and control weather. You can cast each of these spells once per week without expending a spell slot. You may roll a d20 at every long rest, it you roll a natural 20, you regain use of one of the spells early.
