Base Class: Bard
Bards at the College of Symphonies rely less on wordplay and more on their music itself, effortlessly telling rousing stories through music alone. Members of this college can be found performing for a king's court, putting an entire orc village to sleep, or rousing an army to new heights of courage through the power of song with a touch of sound and enchantment magic.
Level 3: Signature Song
You are able to set a spell to a tempo and turn it into a song, allowing it to play itself out instead of you controlling it directly. During a long rest, you are able to designate a spell with the Concentration tag as your "Signature Spell". When you cast this spell with a spell slot as per usual, you may choose to trigger it as your Signature Spell. If you do so, the spell lasts for 1 minute regardless of the normal duration, unless it is usually shorter, in which case it lasts for that amount of time. You may treat this spell as though it does not have the Concentration tag, and can cast another spell that requires concentration during the spell's duration. You can use this Signature Spell a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. The number of designated Signature Spells you can create increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2 at 5th level, 3 at 10th level, and 4 at 15th level. You cannot have two Signature Spells playing at the same time.
Level 3: Symphonic Orchestra
You can conjure music from an accompanying, ethereal orchestra to bolster your allies and hinder your enemies. As an action, you can spend a bardic inspiration, then roll on the Symphonic Orchestra table to determine its style. The musical style that is chosen will then begin emanating from you in a 20 foot radius. All allies (not including you) in this radius at its creation get one use of the Crescendo ability, and they can only use it while in the radius of the music. You must use a bonus action to maintain this music each round. It also ends if you are incapacitated, silenced, or the area is silenced. Otherwise this lasts for 1 minute.
Symphonic Orchestra table:
1-Prestississimo-You and allies within the area get a +10 to your movement speed, as fast paced music hastens your steps. Crescendo ability: As a reaction to an incoming attack, you move at supernatural speeds to dodge-Add a roll of the bardic inspiration die to your AC for the triggering attack. You can use this ability after the die is rolled but before it is declared as a hit or not.
2-Staccato-You and allies within the area get a +2 bonus to damage rolls for weapon attacks as your armaments seem to gleam from the sharp notes playing around you. Crescendo ability: After hitting with a weapon attack, you can roll the bardic inspiration die and add it to the damage roll as force damage, as the music bolsters your attack to be supernaturally swift and sharp.
3-Fortississimo-Enemies within the area get a -1 bonus to saving throws as incredibly loud music hampers their concentration and ability to resist attacks. Crescendo ability: After hitting with an attack, you can force the attacked creature to make a constitution saving throw against your bardic spell save dc, or be pushed back a number of feet equal to 5*your bardic inspiration roll as a wall of solid noise pushes them back.
4-Pianississimo-Enemies within the area get a -1 bonus to attack rolls as soft, soothing music slows their blades and dampens their vision. Crescendo ability: After hitting with an attack, you can force the attacked creature to make a wisdom saving throw against your bardic spell save dc, or fall sleep for a number of rounds equal to a roll of your bardic inspiration die as the soft melody puts them to sleep. They resave at the end of their turns, and taking damage or someone taking an action to shake them awake ends the condition.
5-Spiccato-You and allies in the area get a +1 to attack rolls as detached notes bolster your techniques with unpredictable movements. Crescendo ability: You can teleport 20 ft as a bonus action, after which your next attack gets a bonus to hit equal to a roll of the bardic inspiration die, as you unpredictably teleport past an opponent's guard.
6-Tremelo-Enemies within the area get a -10 to their movement speed as the very air around them seems to tremble and hamper their movements. Crescendo ability: After hitting with an attack, you can force the attacked creature to make a wisdom saving throw, on a failure, they subtract your bardic inspiration die from their AC for the next attack as their body seems to tremble out of their control.
Level 6: Crashing Crescendo
While your Symphonic Orchestra is playing, you can choose to end it early to harm one enemy that you can see within its range. As an action, you build up the music of the orchestra and send it crashing down on one target, who must make a wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they take 2 rolls of your bardic inspiration as psychic damage and are knocked prone. They also take a -1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws for 1 minute, resaving at the end of their turn. On a success they take half damage and no other effects. You can do this once per short rest.
Level 14: Effortless Symphony
You have become an adept and smoothly phasing between different styles of music. When maintaining your Symphonic Orchestra, you can choose what style is playing at the start of each of your turns. When you do this, all allies within within 20 ft of you regain their use of Crescendo, with the new style. They can regain the Crescendo a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, but you can switch the Symphonic Orchestra style every turn with no limit.
