Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Mind's Eye have honed their mental faculties to the point where they can see beyond the physical realm. They possess psychic abilities that allow them to perceive thoughts, anticipate actions, and manipulate the minds of others. These monks are masters of mental combat, using their insight to outmanoeuvre their foes.

Level 3: Psionic Cascade

Your Unarmed Strikes can deal Psychic damage instead of Bludgeoning damage.

If you hit with one attack of your flurry of blows you can inflict a Synaptic Overload. The target gains vulnerability to psychic damage until the end of your next turn.

Level 3: Mental Clarity

You gain proficiency in the Insight skill if you do not already have it. Additionally, you can spend 1 Ki point to gain advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks, Charisma (Persuasion / Deception / Intimidation) checks for 1 minute, allowing you to read the intentions and emotions of others with ease and play off their feelings to manipulate them to open up or back down.

Level 6: Mind Strike

You can channel psychic energy into your strikes. When you hit with an unarmed strike that deals Psychic damage, you can spend 1 Ki points to deal additional psychic damage equal to your Monk Martial Arts Die. The target must also make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or become stunned until the end of your next turn.

You gain the ability to communicate telepathically with any creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. This telepathic link lasts for 10 minutes and does not require the creature to share a language with you. Additionally, you can spend 1 Ki points to cast the Detect Thoughts spell and attempt to read the surface thoughts of a creature you are linked with or probe deeper into the target’s mind.

Level 11: Silken Directive

You can manipulate large groups to achieve your goals. Spending 2 Ki Points, you can suggest a course of activity—described in no more than 25 words—to twelve or fewer creatures you can see within range that can hear and understand you. The suggestion must sound achievable and not involve anything that would obviously deal damage to any of the targets or their allies. For example, you could say, “Walk to the village down that road, and help the villagers there harvest crops until sunset.” Or you could say, “Now is not the time for violence. Drop your weapons, and dance! Stop in an hour.”

Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have the Charmed condition for the duration or until you or your allies deal damage to the target. Each Charmed target pursues the suggestion to the best of its ability. The suggested activity can continue for the entire duration, but if the suggested activity can be completed in a shorter time, the spell ends for a target upon completing it.

Level 11: Mental Purity

In addition to skills gained by Mental Clarity at level 3, you now gain proficiency in charisma (Deception / Persuasion / Intimidation) checks as well as charisma and Wisdom saving throws. You also gain Expertise in Wisdom (Insight) Checks.

Level 17: Their Mind Over Your Matter

You gain the ability to control and manipulate others to protect yourself in a dire moment. As reaction to you being hit by an attack, you can spent 5 Ki Points to Force a target within 30ft of you to step in front of the attack to protect yourself. You take no damage and the attack is re-rolled for the new target. The target uses all their movement to intercept the attack.
