Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Seeking strength in one's own impact on the world. Connected, rooted to the ground they walk. A Starscourge finds solace in being able to return to their origin, to feel the tug and pull of the things around them. Seeking to follow where fate would drag them around just as an apple will always hit the ground. Herculean strength, flight locked to the land, and an undoubted presence to those around them. The pressure that a Starscourge emits is a snowball that rolls down a hill.

Starscourge initially found themselves in the Astral Sea, but the use of Graviturgy has since spread and now brings them closer to their own destined path. Tugged along a road that would connect them to the fate of many. The answers they seek, the bonds to forge, and most importantly their final destination along the long journey among myriad stars.

The Gravity

3rd-level Starscourge feature

You gain a control over gravity that empowers your body, you can use Strength instead of Dexterity for Initiative checks and you count as one size larger for the purposes of grappling, lifting and carrying. You can use your action to touch a creature that has at least 1 Gravitational Burden or an object of medium or smaller size to increase or decrease its weight, holding concentration on the effect. Any Starscourge class features that would require a saving throw use (5 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier + your Constitution modifier) to calculate the DC.

Increase. The movement speed of an affected creature is reduced by 10, it gains a +2 bonus on Strength saving throws and Strength based attack rolls. An affected object's weight is increased by a third of its total weight and causes creatures within 30 ft. of the object to have reduced movement speed by 5.

Decrease. An affected creature's movement speed is increased by 10 and it gains a -2 penalty on Dexterity saving throws and Strength based attack rolls. An affected object's weight is reduced by a third of its total weight as it begins to hover harmlessly while you are within 20 ft. of it. You can direct the movement of the object as a bonus action up to 20 ft. It can move across uneven terrain, up or down stairs, slopes and the like, but it can't cross an elevation change of 10 feet or more. For example, the object can't move across a 10-foot-deep pit, nor could it leave such a pit if it was created at the bottom. The object can hold up to 500 pounds. If more weight is placed on it, the concentration ends, and everything on the object falls to the ground.

Once per long rest, you can choose to direct the gravity of a given situation. All things fall, all things go to a destination. You choose one 1d20 roll and force it to become a 10.

Weighty Blade

3rd-level Starscourge feature

You influence the gravitational energy around you in a profound manner. You apply a stacking resource to targets called Gravitational Burden, a target can have an amount of Gravitational Burden equal to (your Strength Modifier + your proficiency bonus). At 2 Gravitational Burden the target has 5 reduced movement speed, at 4 Gravitational Burden they suffer a -4 penalty to Strength and Dexterity saving throws, and at maximum Gravitational Burden the target has their movement speed set to 0.

You can apply Gravitational Burden to a target a number of ways, once per turn you may apply 1 Gravitational Burden on a target you hit. On a successful grapple check you apply 1 Gravitational Burden, and on a successful Intimidation (Charisma or Strength) check you can apply 2 Gravitational Burden. These stacks of Gravitational Burden are not solely a debuff, fueling your Event Horizon maneuvers when you are within range. The table below containing your known Event Horizon maneuvers.

Event Horizon Maneuvers

Maneuver Effect
Orbital Slash On hit you and the target move 5 ft. In a direction of your choice, your next attack may replace its base weapon die with d12s.

This skill requires 1 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Anchor Cut You spike the gravity around the target, forcing it to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure it cannot benefit from flight or teleportation until the end of its turn.

This skill requires 2 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Gravity Reversal As a reaction when a the target moves away from you, pull its mass toward you forcing it to make a Strength saving throw. On a failure the target is pulled toward you up to its maximum movement speed and falls prone.

This skill requires 2 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Stellar Pull Replace an attack and target creatures with Gravitational Burden within 30 ft. Targets must make a Dexterity saving throw or be pulled 30 ft. toward you. If more than one target failed the saving throw then your next attack may target a number of creatures equal to your Constitution modifier.

This skill requires 3 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Compression Blow On hit the target must make a Constitution saving throw or be grappled by your gravitational strength. While the target is grappled in this way you can use your bonus action to move the target up to 15 ft. If the target starts its turn 60 ft. away from you then the grapple ends.

This skill requires 3 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Orbit Breaker Your next attack additionally causes creatures within 30 ft. of the target to make a Strength saving throw. On a failure the targets are pushed 30 ft. away and fall prone, taking 2d10 force damage.

This skill requires 4 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.

Bonded by the Stars

7th-level Starscourge feature

Your gravitational influence grows, able to extend to reach around you and affect the weapons you hold along with the very space you step around. As a bonus action you can expand your gravitational influence into an aura that lasts for 1 minute, for the duration creatures of your choice that start or move within 10 ft. of you gain 1 Gravitational Burden, you can use Orbital Slash as an attack of opportunity at no Gravitational Burden cost, and you can expend Gravitational Burden on any creature in your aura range to perform an Event Horizon maneuver instead of just your intended target's stacks. This aura ends early if you are incapacitated and you can use it a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on completing a long rest.

Additionally, at the end of a long rest you can choose one weapon to gain a Gravitational Bond with it. You can only have one Gravitational bonded weapon. When you bond with your weapon you gain access to a unique maneuver based on one of three weapon types, these maneuvers serve as a way to gain additional Gravitational Burden or use Gravitational Burden in different ways:

Melee. When you would expend Gravitational Burden on a creature resulting in it entering a space within 5 ft. of you, you can additionally make an attack using the base damage die of the weapon. This attack does not add your ability modifier to damage, and on a successful hit a creature gains a stack of Gravitational Burden.

Ranged/Thrown. When a creature would be knocked prone as a result of you expending Gravitational Burden on them, you may additionally expend 1 Gravitational Burden on the creature to influence the gravity of your ammunition. While your ammunition is influenced in this way, your ranged and thrown weapon attacks ignore disadvantage as a result of attacking prone creatures and instead you have advantage.

Ammunition. Rather than a weapon of some kind, you forge a bond with some manner of ammunition. Whenever you would make an attack, you may alternatively replace an attack to force a piece of ammunition to orbit around you in a 10 ft. aura at a high speed until the end of your next turn. Creatures that end their turn within this aura must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d4 magical piercing damage. You can increase the die size of this ability by expending a Gravitational Burden stack on a target that would make this saving throw from 3d4 to 3d6 at 1 Gravitational Burden, 3d6 to 3d8 at 2 Gravitational Burden, 3d8 to 3d10 at 3 Gravitational Burden, and 3d10 to 3d12 at 4 Gravitational Burden.

The Movement of the Stars

10th-level Starscourge feature

Your gravitational aura grows in power, when you use it for the duration you additionally gain a hover and flying speed equal to your movement speed. The flight from this ability has a maximum height of 30 ft.

Additionally you can have up to two Gravitational Bonded weapons and now such weapons have an increased range of 15 ft. Attacking with a weapon this way causes it to move in an arc to its target in which it harmlessly returns to your hand after. You can recall a bonded weapon you have been disarmed of as a bonus action if it is within 60 ft. of you and is not obstructed.

Astral Finale

15th-level Starscourge feature

You gain a power to further influence the field and gravity that exists around you. Your Event Horizon maneuvers see improvement as now you can launch an Astral Finisher on a target if you have used at least one Event Horizon maneuver on it within the last minute. The following is the list of your Astral Finishers:

Astral Finisher

Finisher Effect
Orbital Collapse On hit you warp the gravity centered on the target creating a powerful well for a moment. All creatures with Gravitational Burden within 60 ft. must make a Strength saving throw or be pulled 30 ft. closer. Targets that end up within 5 ft. of your target then take your Fighter level in force damage and are restrained until the end of your next turn.

This skill requires 5 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Stellar Exile On hit the target must make a Charisma saving throw or be hurled 60 ft. in a direction of your choice. The target is then banished until the start of your next turn as you open a gravity well at their destination. At the end of this banishment they then are hurled toward you until they are within 5 ft. of you, being targeted by a free attack that critically hits.

This skill requires 5 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.
Singularity Storm On hit you additionally may expend 5 Gravitational Burden on targets you can see up to your Fighter level. You then open a portal to each target, dashing through every position and forcing targets to make a Dexterity saving throw or take 8d8 force damage. On a success taking half as much damage.

This skill requires 5 Gravitational Burden to be expended on the affected target.

Fate

18th-level Starscourge feature

Your gravitational power is matched by very few, now exerting a greater control over its forces and the world around you. You count as two sizes larger for the purposes of grappling, lifting and carrying. You can use your action to touch up to two creatures or two objects of large or smaller size to increase or decrease its weight, holding concentration on the effect.

Increase. The movement speed of an affected creature is reduced by half, it gains advantage on Strength saving throws and Strength based attack rolls. An affected object's weight is doubled and causes creatures within 30 ft. of the object to be affected as if walking on difficult terrain.

Decrease. An affected creature's movement speed is doubled and it gains disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws and Strength based attack rolls. An affected object's weight is reduced by half as it begins to hover harmlessly, you can direct the movement of the object as part of your own movement up to your movement speed. The object has a flying speed equal to your movement speed and can hold up to 5000 pounds if it is a large sized object and 500 pounds if it is medium. If more weight is placed on it, the concentration ends, and everything on the object falls to the ground.

Once per turn, you can choose to direct the gravity of a given situation. All things fall, all things go to a destination. You choose one 1d20 roll and force it to become a 10.
