Monk
Base Class: Monk

"A peculiar internal style with very narrow application, and one almost solely focused on defensive techniques. Practiced by most angels, it is almost entirely focused on getting close enough to a foe to subdue him without harming him, with maximal speed, safety, and precision. The movement techniques in this style are very popular and often borrowed by other schools, such as the Unlimited Chariot Sprinting technique which, when practiced properly, allows running at incredible speed over long distances without tiring. The student of this school is taught to endure all kinds of harm, hardship, and exhaustion in the pursuit of his quarry, and in doing so develops a truly unique constitution, resiliency, and ability to channel internal force.

Though it is commonly perceived to have no offensive applications, a quirk of this school is that due to its energy conservation techniques, a trained master who has practiced them for an extremely long time is capable (or so I have heard) of unleashing attacks of staggering power, aimed at felling dangerous or impossible to subdue foes. Such an technique must be delivered at extremely close range and can take a phenomenal amount of concentration and cultivation of internal force. Only the oldest extant angels proficient in this style are said to be capable of this ‘ten thousand year evil-quelling fist’ style –  those that have been alive for an age or more. If any of them truly exist and can be roused to action, it would be a most terrible sight indeed.”

Legs of the Fierce Horse

At 3rd level, your mastery of your ki allows you to summon a portion of the Fierce Horse. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to summon the legs of the Fierce Horse. When you do so, each creature of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take radiant damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die.

For 10 minutes, these spectral legs hover near your hips or surround your legs (your choice). You determine the legs' appearance, and they vanish early if you are incapacitated or die.

While the spectral legs are present, you gain the following benefits:

  • You can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength modifier when making Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • You can use the spectral legs to make unarmed strikes.
  • When you make an unarmed strike with the legs on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.
  • When you make an unarmed strike with the legs can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls, and their damage type is radiant.

Level 6: Visage of the Fierce Horse

When you reach 6th level, you can summon the visage of the Fierce Horse. As a bonus action, or as part of the bonus action you take to activate Legs of the Fierce Horse, you can spend 1 ki point to summon this visage for 10 minutes. It vanishes early if you are incapacitated or die.

The spectral visage covers your face like a helmet or mask. You determine its appearance.

While the spectral visage is present, you gain the following benefits.

Pree Aesma, YS-Asram, the Blooded One. You can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 120 feet.

Het, the Watcher at the Door. You have advantage on Wisdom (Insight) and Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

PRIM! Who swore by gentleness. When you speak, you can direct your words to a creature of your choice that you can see within 60 feet of you, making it so only that creature can hear you. Alternatively, you can amplify your voice so that all creatures within 600 feet can hear you.

Body of the Fierce Horse

Starting at 11th level, when you have both your Fierce Legs and visage summoned, you can cause the body of your Fierce Horse to appear (no action required). This spectral body covers your physical form like a suit of armor, connecting with the legs and visage. You determine its appearance.

While the spectral body is present, you gain the following benefits.

Deflect Heavenly Energy. When you take acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, or thunder damage, you can use your reaction to deflect it. When you do so, the damage you take is reduced by 1d10 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum reduction of 1).

Empowered Chariot's Legs. Once on each of your turns when you hit a target with the Legs of the Fierce Horse, you can deal extra radiant damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die.

Awakened Fierce Horse

Starting at 17th level, your connection to the Fierce Horse is complete, allowing you to unleash its full potential. As a bonus action, you can spend 5 ki points to summon the Legs, visage, and body of the Fierce Horse and awaken it for 10 minutes. This awakening ends early if you are incapacitated or die.

While the Fierce Horse is awakened, you gain the following benefits.

Fierce Horse Soul. You gain a +2 bonus to Armor Class.

Evil-Crushing Fist. Whenever you use the Extra Attack feature to attack twice, you can instead attack three times if all the attacks are made with the astral legs.

Great Chariot Cannon. If you kill an enemy with Evil-Crushing fist, the enemy's body is now disintegrated in an immense ray of light.
