Base Class: Druid
Druids of the Circle of the Storied Shape believe that stories are not fiction, but memory made durable. Across cultures and centuries, the same creatures appear again and again in novels, myths, poems, and epics—winged guardians, living stone, shadowed predators, and ancient tree-spirits.
To these druids, such repetition is proof of truth. These beings once walked the world, retreated to other planes, or were lost when magic itself was wounded. What remains are their stories.
Through deep study of fantasy literature and oral tradition, Storied druids learn to step into these remembered forms. Their Wild Shape does not perfectly recreate a creature, but retells it—ink-like markings, glowing runes, and drifting script often appear across their transformed bodies.
As they grow in power, these druids learn that stories bleed into one another. They may combine traits from multiple legends, becoming living anthologies of myth. At the height of their mastery, they become Icons of Fantasy—creatures so saturated with narrative weight that witnesses swear they have seen them before, though they cannot say where.
