Base Class: Warlock
The Unknown is an almighty malevolent being, travelling through the universe slowly consuming worlds and finding new victims for her Realms of the Trial Grounds. She thrives on her victims' strongest emotions, allowing her to consume more worlds. Pacts with the Unknown are not usually willing. She is attracted to minds already experiencing some form of horror and tragedy. When the pact is made, the Unknown feeds on the soul's worst fear, greatest pain, and unrelenting despair that follows.

Expanded Spell List
The Unknown lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
1st: bane, dissonant whispers
3rd: clairvoyance, lightning bolt
4th: arcane eye, black tentacles
5th: dominate person, insect plague
Awakened Awareness
Starting at 1st level, your alien knowledge gives you the ability to touch the minds of other creatures. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.
Mindbreaker
During combat, you can call upon your patron to enhance your powers. At the beginning of your turn, you must make a WIS saving throw against your own warlock spell DC. Regardless of the result of the roll, you inflict damage to yourself equal to your CHA modifier plus half your warlock level (rounded down) to grant yourself the following benefits:
- Mad Grit. While you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your DEX modifier + your CHA modifier.
- Agitation. Your speed increases by 10 feet.
- Play with Your Food. When you deal damage to a surprised creature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your CHA modifier + your warlock level.
After combat, the Unknown has free reign on your mind. If you succeeded on the original saving throw, any WIS saving throws made against the Unknown attempting to control your mind is with advantage. If you failed, you make the saving throws with disadvantage. When the Unknown attempts to take control of your mind, make a DC 10 WIS saving throw. On a success, nothing happens. On a failure, you must do whatever the Unknown asks of you. After each success, the DC increases by 5. When you finish a short or long rest, the DC resets to 10. The Unknown can only attempt to take control of your mind equal to half your warlock level rounded up.
Dissolution
At 6th level, you learn to magically ward yourself against attack and to turn an enemy’s failed strike into good luck for yourself. When a creature makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that roll. If the attack misses you, your next attack roll against the creature has advantage if you make it before the end of your next turn.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Insidious
Starting at 10th level, your thoughts can’t be read by telepathy or other means unless you allow it. You also have resistance to psychic damage, and whenever a creature deals psychic damage to you, that creature takes the same amount of damage that you do.
Enduring
At 14th level, you are implacable in your pursuit. Wounds that would kill or severely hinder a mere mortal have the barest effect on you.
When you are reduced below half of your total hit points, you can choose to immediately gain temporary hit points equal to your warlock level. If you are charmed, frightened, paralyzed, or stunned, the condition ends, and if you are prone, you can stand up as a reaction. On your next turn, you can take one additional action that must be used to attack or cast a cantrip with a casting time of one action.
Once you have used this ability, you cannot use it again until you have finished a long rest.
